Oh, how my life would have been different as a kid had I owner a pair of these free pair of safety glasses. As a kid, we used to play street hockey and since I was the best kid with a glove, I was always the goalie. Except, we didn’t have any realy “safety” gear, it was just stuff from the house. I had my skates, then my old soccer shin guards followed by two pillows around my thighs, which were held into place by bungie cords that miraculously never snapped. Then I had my baseball mit, a broom for a hockey stick, a few pillows under my shirt, and a catcher’s facemask pulled over a purple bike helmet. Except the mask was far too wide and we always used a small ball, which meant that every now and then it’d fly through the wiring and smack into my face. Talk about fun!

And to top it off, I used a small hotplate as my “cup.” Let me tell you, there’s nothing to says protection of your most vital area like using the item that keeps your hot pans away from your dinner table. Seriously, it’s a miracle I’m still here today. My childhood was full of events where I would test the laws of nature and the limits of the human body.
