If you click the “more” link below, you’ll be greeted with the answers to the February Contest. The threads will always stay open on the forums, so if you’d rather not know the answers and try to solve the clues later on, by all means feel free to. Remeber, the answers are actually the passwords for the next stage. Anyway, without further ado.

Stage 1 - So what’s the 5th magazine listed on that page?

Stage 2 - We all know I run HIF, but what about all the other websites I run? In fact, what about the very first site I ever opened? It was my “personal blog” and it’s been up for over 4 1/2 years now.

Stage 3 - In the first ever Freebie Review, I weighed a certain object using a recent freebie I’d gotten in the mail. On that object, the words “Give, Live, _______” can be found. What’s the missing word?

Stage 4 - Supporting your favorite websites is an important thing to do. There are certainly ways you can help out here at HIF! In fact, I’ve talked about this on the site before and have listed all the ways you can help. On that page, there is a search box for a certain “jungle” website. On that search box are two orange words. Put those two words together and you’ve got your password for the next stage

Stage 5 - Back on December 10 of last year, I only posted one freebie. If you happened to sign up for it, then you got one free what in the mail? This answer has two words just like the last one, but this time the password will have a space in it. So this time around, use your space bar! I just like seeing if people can follow directions!

Stage 6 - We all know I don’t run many ads here on HIF. In fact, other than the Google ads, there’s only one other company I use. What’s their name?

Stage 7 - I pride myself on running a fairly clean and legit site. But what do other sites think about us? What about Active Freebies? According to them, HIF’s “A ____ site where only the best…” So what’s the blank?

Stage 8 - On a special day, a certain colored animal will give you a tasty treat if you’re a member of their club. Do me a favor and head on over to their site where you sign up for their club and find the missing word: “This _____ takes place…”

Stage 9 - Sometimes when you sign up for a freebie, it asks for a company name. Well first off, you need to find the pretend company name that I say I’m the President of. Got it? Great, now go to their site! (That’s right, my pretend company has a not-so-pretend website!)

Okay, so you’re at the site now. On the left, there are 5 light green arrows. Click the first one. A new paragraph has loaded on the right side of your screen. Find the fourth word in the first sentence and you’ve got your password!

Stage 10 - Well, hopefully it hasn’t been TOO easy getting to this point so far! But let’s see if you’ve learned anything along the way, as this hurdle will require you to combine some of the skills you’ve picked by now! The final password will consist of a few words, names, and numbers, which you’ll have to put together in a jumbled mess. So your final password will look like “wordwordnamenamewordnumber” - I’ll warn ya now, it’s gonna be long!
