Free DVD: An Inconvenient Truth
Well, kind of.
If you never check out your local library, you’re missing out. They’re the true king of freebies! Here’s a fun fact: Did you know that during the Great Depression, public libraries actually experienced a huge boom in growth across the country? The federal government realized that public libraries were one of the most valuable and vital services a community could provide, so they made sure to keep them up, running, and expanding. Anyways, sure you don’t get to keep the stuff, but you can’t beat the services they offer. Books, magazines, daily news, Internet…and movies!
So this site is giving away free copies of An Inconvenient Truth as well as the accompanying book to your local library. All you have to do is sign up with your address, help them find your nearest library, and they’ll send a free copy there for you and your community to enjoy!

as a blogging librarian who keeps an eye on personal finance, I love to see others giving public libraries a shout-out!
What happened to not having political pieces on this site? This film is full of misleading propaganda and junk science.
Gore didn’t dedicate himself to getting the word out on global warming for political purposes. Unless he wins the Nobel Peace Prize, he won’t jump in the race and this is by far his best chance to. So I don’t view this as such a political piece as a “Hey, we’re kinda screwing up the planet folks. Maybe we should do something about it?” piece. And even if he does get in the race, I’m not championing his campaign for Presidency, only his campaign for not jumping in Hummers just to go check the mail
And undandi, I spread the library love any chance I get!
I love libraries, but I wouldn’t want that DVD if they paid me to take it.
Acctualy I have’nt seen the movies so how could i get this free dvd ?
I already have this DVD. Too bad I had to buy it. And I also had to BIC Wite-Out some guy’s names on the “watch and give” part of the DVD. It actually looks pretty good!
