I hope your dog or cat likes free Purina One pet food, because it looks like they’ve jumped back on the freebie horse. Purina, that is, not your pets. You know, that’d actually be cool to see a dog riding a horse though. That almost sounds like the premise for a bad cartoon, where they ride around solving mysteries and…

Sorry, I promise I’ll stay focused here. Where was I? Oh yes, Purina. They used to be a freebie powerhouse back in 2006 when I opened HIF. My dogs were living large and enjoying all the free food and then suddenly they were cut off. It’s nice to see Purina’s had a change of heart and jumped back in the game. Let’s hope this is the first of many more freebies from them!

    what a bunch of crap… after going thru 99% of the junk to try to get the *free samples* they have a requirment to choose TWO *FREE* offers before you get to finish… I looked over 4 of them… all of them wanted my credit card number for *shipping costs*, and I would have 14 day free trials of product… THEN it would automaticly charge my cards $59 per month etc etc… good grief… this is NOT what I call a free offer…

    Ra, I think you’re mistaken. I just checked out this offer again, filled out the first page with nothing more than my name and shipping address, and was then given a confirmation page that says:

    “We have successfully received your request to receive Purina One® pet food. Thank you for your interest!

    Please check your e-mail now. We have sent you a verification link that you need to click. This confirmation email should arrive instantly but please allow up to 10 minutes before reporting an error. Allow 6-10 weeks for shipping and processing.”

    Then I went to my e-mail, clicked the verification link, and got a page that said this:

    “Email Confirmed!

    You have successfully completed all of the required steps to receive your free item. Thank you for your participation! “

    Where are you getting the idea that this requires offers in order to get this?
