Anything from Walmart is legit, as is any freebie hosted on any company's main website. One way I judge if a freebie is a scam or not is to look at the public whois information of the website. Any legit freebie will have public info that corresponds to the company that makes the supposed freebie. Sometimes it seems perfectly legit, and just because other folks have had bad reactions, we learn from our mistakes and problems, but other times? Its an old copyright date, a homemade website that looks poorly made, or just a strange domain name or request for personal information. So don't worry...
