Smart Balance Rebate [MAIL IN]

We don’t put many coupons or rebates or refunds on the front page, but with the way the season’s changing? Well we’re all baking a little more or trying to eat a little healthier.

And so enter in this mail in rebate for Smart Balance products. From the end of this month through January 31st, you can redeem a good variety of products as free. One of each, though, and hold onto those receipts for these rebates. Of course, you’re telling them that you don’t like it, but I’m sure we could make up good excuses. For example:

* My dog ate my smart popcorn.
* I didn’t feel smarter eating it.
* It smelled funnny.

And if someone asked? You didn’t get those excuses from me!

That looks like a return form to me, not a rebate. It asks why you didn’t like the product. I think it’s dishonest to claim you didn’t like something just to get a couple dollars back. Too many businesses are hanging on by a thread as it is.

I agree with Sandy! This is dishonest and not in the spirit of fair play. This company isn’t offering a freebie but a money back guarantee that you will like it’s products, which is honorable. Don’t slap a company in the face for trying to do right by its customers.

Hi Sandy and Carroll:

I agree with you on the fact that it looks like a refund form, but what’s interesting is that at the bottom of the form is the word “rebate,” as its used.

For me, I actually enjoy most of the Smart Balance products and wouldn’t use it, but for a lot of other folks who might want to try something different around the holidays that’s a healthier option, well, I figured I’d share it with them.

But believe me, I do understand your concerns there, and I had that same reservation in posting it here, but its still legit as an offer.

That’s just means that they’re outsourcing the refund process to a rebate management company, not that it’s actually a rebate offer. It’s still a refund for people who weren’t satisfied with the product.
