Free BK Whopper via Facebook

EDIT: Unfortunately Facebook is being a bunch of jerkwads and have put an end to this campaign.

I’m not much of a fast food eater and when I do grab a quick meal, it’s rarely at Burger King. That said, their advertising and promotions are light years ahead of their competitors and this free Burger King Whopper via Facebook promo is no different. The gist of the deal is that you add their application to your Facebook page and then sacrifice 10 of your friends. That’s right, they want you to delete ten people from your friends list.

Why? I have no idea. Does it make sense? Little if any. Is it a fantastic promotion that’s guaranteed to succeed and go viral throughout the Internet because of how random it is? You bet your sweet butt! I’ve already added the application and have begun fielding offers from my friends as to why I should keep them around. Nothing helps pass the time like groveling at somebody’s feet!

You know what else passes time? Joining the Hey, It’s Free! Facebook group. That should help pass 10, maybe 15 seconds easy.

That's true, should've read the instructions. Still...annoying. ;) But that's ok, after my particular b&^&^y rant, I actually went there for luinch & got a whopper jr. so shows you how much I was REALLY annoyed, hmm? It's been a bad few months, needed to take it out somewhere. Am officially "lightened up" now. ;) Dunno about the rest of them though.

Lighten up people. It was a sacrificial after all it is not BKs fault you didn't read the instructions first. It was fun and U can just re-add ur friends.

Shheeezus!! This pisses me off!! I love a free Whopper, but trying to hurry through the crap to get the coupon, I didn't read it well. I'm not thrilled I deleted good friends & have to re~add them. I'm going to complain to BK too! I mean, I can see where it can be useful & fun for those needing to delete unwanted friends, but I never add unwanted friends to begin with, so this is just annoying. I think I'll just pay for a Big Mac & keep my friends from now on. Stinking Burger King bs!!! But hey, greet freebie finds on here usually though! :)

Haha, the beauty of it is that you can add the people right back after you drop them. I used it as an ice breaker to talk to a few friends I hadn't chatted with in months.

Okay I am going to admit this one hit a nerve with me when I found it a week or so ago. I actually ended out calling BK to complain. I also contacted all my FB friends and told them there would be hell and worse to pay if they dropped me for a stupid burger.
