Site News & $400+ In Free Prizes

HIF is undergoing some super awesome changes this week, (new server! new writers! and more!) and so I thought I’d take a minute to explain them. Oh, and maybe you’d be interested in learning that I’m giving away over $400 in prizes as well? Yeah, that’s what I thought!

You may remember that a while back I put out a call for additional writers. Well what you may not know is that I’ve since found the writers I was looking for and they’ve joined the crew! I’ll let them introduce themselves as they start posting, but long story short we’ve got two people working on finding the best coupons available and two more hunting down deals and steals. Throw in the freebies and reviews that we already post and there’s not much we’re leaving out in the way of saving you money.

I’m also moving HIF to a new server as we’re pretty much causing our current box to melt. The only reason I bring this up is to say that our downtime should be significantly reduced during times of peak traffic. About time, right?

And finally, you’re probably sitting there wondering what’s up with the $400+ in prizes I alluded to earlier. Well starting tomorrow I’ll be giving away gift cards and cold hard cash for five days straight. Why? Because it’s been a while since I’ve done so, that’s why!

It’ll be super easy to enter into the contests as well. Each morning I’ll provide instructions on how to enter and then that evening I’ll pick a winner. Rinse, wash, and repeat until I’ve given everything away.

The first prize tomorrow will be a $50 Walmart giftcard, so be sure to check out the site in the morning and spread the word!

    why is it that every contest and giveaway starts in the morning? what about us nightowls and third shifters who are nocturnal?! When do we night creatures get a contest that starts at say 2:45am? Looks like I’ll be setting the alarm for mid-morning/afternoon, avoid the crowds

    i am new to all this freebee stuff, ( i’ve been checking out this site for about a month. I LOVE FREE STUFF! i have been entering contests and sweepstakes for my whole life though and i have yet to find any that are legit, theres always a catch and never a prize. we’ll have to see about this one. sounds like fun though . I can’t wait to try it out in the morning which is now

    HIF, you are the greatest site EVER! I found out about you in Woman’s World magazine and have been coming here ever since. You’re my homepage too so I never miss a thng!     hey i love this site as well cant wait to enter the contest not going to buy anything great just a pack of diapers for my youngest kid but hey it would be another freebie of course my oldest whos five says she wants candy with it and the middle child wants shoes (she needs new sneakers so that is also a possible) but me personally i like the candy idea (not going to happen though)

    Alright, more free stuff. Ever since I found out about you guys from the morning news guys, I signed up and I now get stuff just about everyday.

    I really look forward to coming to this site just to see what if being offered for free or what coupons are out there. I don’t trust many sites, but for some reason I trusted this one and I was right too. You have a fantastic site; be proud of what you have accomplished and keep up the good work!!Oh yeah…if you would like to consider me for a free gift card, I wouldn’t mind. :0)
