Free Barbara’s Bakery Organic Cereal

EDIT: It looks like Barbara deleted her site…

Correct me if I’m wrong, but shouldn’t this free Barbara’s Bakery organic cereal offer instead be for something like free cookies? If there’s one thing I know in life, it’s how to be awkward in social situations. But the second thing I know is that bakery = cookies, cakes, and sometimes donuts!

Coupon: Free Small Fazoli’s Spaghetti

If you’ve got a Fazoli’s near you, you might want to consider signing up with their Free Spaghetti website and, you know, get some free spaghetti. Once you sign up, you can print the free coupon out and get the free spaghetti with any small drink purchase, which is a pretty good deal in my book. The site says it’ll update the coupon every week, so here’s to hoping they keep uploading worthwhile coupons in the future!

Free Beef Jerky Sample

EDIT: Blarg, looks like this one is down for the count.

I’ve really been hankering for some jerky recently. I don’t know what it is. Maybe its the fact that at Sam’s Club the other day the wife and I picked up a pack of Best’s hot dogs and I’m on a beef kick, or maybe I just want a salt lick for my cubicle to help me get the sodium I don’t need.

Whatever the case, I look forward to getting this free sample of premium beef jerky in the mail. Yup, just follow the directions (i.e. head to the contact page and write that you want a free sample and give them your mailing address) and you will be thanked with meat in your mailbox. Maybe the envelope will taste like jerky too?

Free Birthstone of the Month

Freebie offers with themes can have a way of backfiring. Sort of like the “Dress as a Cow” day at Chick-Fil-A. And I think that this free birthstone of the month one might backfire as well just a bit…

You see, you get to have the birthstone of the current month with your request. Luckily for me, my birthday is the last day in January so when I request, I’ll get my birthstone.
But what about our fearless leader, Goob, who’s got an early February birthday; our reviewer Shaynon who has to wait till May; or our other forums moderator Froggie who has to wait all the way till August? Can Goob, Shaynon, or Froggie request now and every other month up to and on their birthday?

I guess we’ll have to just click and find out…

EDIT: Speaking of backfiring, now you’re required to send your confirmation e-mail in a SASE to them. Instructions are on their page for redemption of this offer…

2008, In Review

Well hello my freebie friends! I know it’s late but Merry Christmas! And if you didn’t celebrate Christmas, Happy Kwanza. Feliz Navidad. Froehliche Weihnachten. Buone Feste Natalizie. You get the picture!  I hope your Christmas or whatever it is you celebrated was amazing. You know what else is amazing? Freebies. This past year has been good to us, offering some of the best freebies ever available!

This is my year end freebie review for you, where I am going to go through some of the best things we have gotten this year…with a little help from some of the hiffers. Since most, if not all, of these freebies have long since died, I will let you know where you can get them and at what price. (Goob: I’ve linked to each freebie’s website. If I make a notation that’s it’s still available, then obviously head on over and snag a freebie you might have missed!) Also I will list the website for you too! Make sure you always check on HIF for the freebies, I have a feeling 2009 is going to be big!

Let’s get started! (more…)

Nine Free Mix CDs

The art of the mix feels like its long gone and moved on. There’s something magical about being able to put together 10ish songs and make the flow just right.

So when I saw that the admin of a band fan site are giving away nine free mix CDs they made as holiday gifts for free download? Well, needless to say my hats off to them…

I’ll stop being all John Cusack now.

Free Searching for Answers DVD

I resolved for 2009 to do a lot more intelligent things in my spare time. Things like photography, writing, playing more guitar. So I think this free Searching for Answers DVD fits in. I mean, sure, I might be watching TV instead of doing any of those things, but its neuroscience! That’s intelligent, right?

Free Navigating Your Health Benefits for Dummies

Fine print is so not my friend. And it doesn’t help that when I took my Compensation and Benefits class that I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Not my fault, I tell you! I would have two or three energy drinks in that class, but my teacher who looked like a cross between Colonel Sanders and John Hammond and talked like he was from the Bayou had a soothing voice that just put me to sleep.

That being said, I hope that this free Navigating Your Health Benefits for Dummies guide helps me learn all that I missed while I dozed off in class. And I might even order the Spanish version too to go with the Rosetta Stone that my wife and I got for Hanukkah.

Or maybe, I’ll just fall asleep in this book like I did in class…

Free Cloud Cult Downloads from Esurance

Barely into 2009 and I’ve been a busy little bee. Yup. See, after listening to Roxette’s “The Look” for about 6 times in a row yesterday, I realized its about time for me to probably get something new, even if I also have been listening to Emerson Hart’s “I Wish The Best For You.”

That being said, I’m glad that I discovered these three free downloads of Cloud Cult songs from Esurance. Just what I need: some bright and shiney music to ring in the new year.

Not that there’s anything wrong with “The Look.”

Free Christmas Music from The Madison Square Gardeners

Its hard to believe that its 2009 and that Christmas was just one week ago. Still, its never to early to start thinking about Christmas of this year and learning some new songs. That’s where these free original Christmas songs from The Madison Square Gardeners come in. Now? You’ve got a whole year to learn 6 new songs to replace “Jingle Bells,” “Deck the Halls,” and “What Are You Doing New Years Eve?”

Well, maybe not the last one. That one’s classic…
