Coupon: Free Express Panties

I think today is “Battle of the Sexes Friday.” Every freebie that Goob and I have found have been so staunchly on one side of the line or the other. And if you’re a guy, well, this coupon for a free pair of panties from Express from 2/27 to 3/1 (PDF file at the link) isn’t really going to do you much good if you’re single.

Well, it might. You could always use them as a cheese cloth, to impress male friends who are coming over by leaving them laying around conspicuously, or as slingshots.

Or not. Any other ideas for different uses? Its a Friday afternoon and my brain’s mostly shut off…

Coupon: Free Aveda Men’s Shampoo

How hard is it to make men’s shampoo? There’s really only two or three different fragrances that are ever used in products for us, but we’d honestly be okay with just one. Seriously, we really don’t care about shampoo. It falls to around 9 trillion on the Men’s Scale of Importance, with 1 of course being the upcoming zombie Apocalypse. But hey, if you’re going to be at participating retailer between now and June 30th, you might want to print out this free Aveda men’s shampoo coupon. Sure, shampoo might not be important to us, but a freebie’s a freebie!

Free Kotex Sample

Men, we need to revolt, me thinks. Women get all of these free feminine hygiene product samples like this new offer for a free Kotex sample from Wal*Mart/StartSampling and what do we get? Slim pickings with t-shirts that rarely come, SoyJoy bars, and Martha Stewart magazine. Its time that we rise up and declare “YES! I am a man, and I smell and need more free deodorant and soap shampoos. And if I don’t get them? I might have to continue to smell until you give me some.”

Viva la revolucion! Or at least until Women’s History Month starts in two days…

Free Crest Advanced Seal Whitestrips

EDIT: This is no longer available.

Crest must really think we have some brown teeth, because they’re offering yet another way to get a free Crest Advanced Seal Whitestrips sample. All you have to do is text CREST to 467-467, which is ShopText, a site we’ve written a little about before. I haven’t gotten anything for free from them yet, but it’s only been a week or two, so fingers crossed.

Free Parents Choice Formula

What is baby formula anyways? It sounds more like a racing fuel than a food. Like something you’d put in your car for zipping around corners and picking kids up from the mall and then shuttling that mini van to soccer practice. Or lifting off into outer space.

I don’t think that this free Parents Choice baby formula is any of those. And as my awesome friend Karen–a mother of a cute as a button 3 month old–tells me too? Its not lactose free either.

Seeing I’m lactose intolerant, I think I’d better find a different source for milk myself…

Free Pencil Case With Supplies

EDIT: Wow, we Hiffed the living daylights out of that one. I don’t know whether to be proud or sad.

Well I’ve already botched posting one freebie today, so let’s see if I can get one of these right. Phaidon Press is giving away a free Nicholas Club membership packet, which is basically a small pencil case with a few items in it (pencil, ruler, eraser, stickers, etc.) To get the freebie, click on the “How to join my club” balloon near the upper left on their site.

I like the drawings all over the site, especially the ones on the main page of the little character. One of the drawings has a massive frown on his face and is looking right at the balloon leading to the freebie. I’m guessing he’s the guy in charge of finances. The dude with the top hat is easily the smart one and the guy crying is me after mistakenly posting a freebie this morning that wasn’t going to come. Whoops!

Free John Heffron Comedy CD

All day today its been quiet around HIF. Not because Goob and I aren’t here, but because we were here, but constantly refreshing Swagbucks for codes and trying to boost our totals. I don’t know how much the big guy got today, but I know I shot up about 30 points today amidst my own referrals and some searches and codes…

Despite all of that, I assure you that the freebies are there. Things like this free John Heffron comedy CD that’s a button right under his picture. We’re ready to laugh at this, and needing something seeing neither of us hit the jackpot on SB.

So I guess that means we’ll be back tomorrow, still searching… and using Swagbucks, of course…

$50 Amazon Gift Card Contest

$50 Amazon Gift Card Contest

I don’t have a photo of this gift card, but that’s only because I bought it on-line. I guess I could take a picture of my computer screen or maybe create one of those cool Matrix graphics where you can see the inside of electronics, but…nah, that’d take too much work. Just take my word on it; I’ve got a $50 Amazon gift card that I’m dying to give away!

Some people have asked that I make a contest for those of you who are technologically illiterate. And you know what? That I can do. Thus, in order to enter this contest, all you have to do is….sign up for our daily newsletter. That’s it! Well, you’ll need to comment on this post and let me know you’ve signed up, but that shouldn’t be too hard, no?

The contest ends at midnight on Tuesday March 2. After you enter your email in the link above, you’ll get a confirmation letter with a link in it asking if you really want to sign up. Make sure you click that link to confirm your subscription!

So, to recap:

  1. Sign up for our daily newsletter.
  2. Click the link in the confirmation e-mail you get shortly after signing up.
  3. Come back here and leave a comment on this post.
  4. Cross your fingers and hope you win!
  5. Name your next child/pet Goob?

Good luck, everyone!

EDIT: If you’re already a subscriber of the newsletter, then just comment on this post and that’ll be your official entry!

Free GFI Mail Essentials T-Shirt

Free shirts like this free GFI mail essentials t-shirt are a dime a dozen: we see a dozen of them, and lose a few dimes’ worth of time getting none of them. Still, I’m going to cross my fingers because initial reports of this free shirt–which you reply on that page there, wait for an e-mail, and then that’s where you reply for the shirt (and I’d match your e-mail addresses up, in case they’re checking)–is that it was an offline offer, so maybe we’ll be lucky?

Besides, I could always use another shirt that I’d never wear out in public as an exercise shirt. :)

EDIT: Hey folks, there’s some confusion here. You don’t need to download the software to get the shirt. It brings you to that page, and then you wait a few minutes, and the e-mail you get has a link to head to. So don’t download anything, just hang tight after you submit it, and you’ll be good.

Random Coupons #5

The weather outside might be nasty (or at least here in the Midwest), but how can you not smile when you have a bunch of new coupons to enjoy? Here you go…

Kettle Foods: Pledge to say “NO!” to unnatural snack chips and receive $1.00 off Kettle Foods baked potato chips. To avoid looking insane, I’d recommend not pledging aloud if you’re in a room full of other people…then again, maybe that was what Kettle Foods was hoping for.

Boston Market: Need a quick last-minute lunch or dinner option without resorting to the drive-through? Save $1.00 on any 3 Boston Market Frozen Home Style Meals.

Uncle Ben’s: Save $1.00 on any two Uncle Ben’s rice products. The coupon which prints automatically after you sign up for their club. While you’re on their website, why not complete their customer satisfaction survey and receive a second $1.00 off coupon?

Pampers: This $1.50 off coupon (expired!) was offered for a while back in December, but it must have been popular because it’s back again.

Dove: Save $1.50 on one Dove haircare product with this coupon.

Shoe Carnival: I don’t know what shoes have to do with carnivals or Wheel of Fortune-esque flash games, but if you visit Shoe Carnival’s website, you can play a Spin the Wheel game and receive a coupon off your next purchase. Coupon values and minimum purchase requirements vary, but unlike Wheel of Fortune, you can always keep playing until you get a better deal! You also won’t have to wear a tacky nametag and talk to Pat Sajak.

Penn Station: While we’re on the topic of coupon games, make sure to visit Penn Station’s website to play their Super Slots game. You get 5 free spins per day (through February 28th), and can win free fries, free drink, or 2-for-1 sub coupons! Not a bad deal for some delicious subs!
