CVS and Walgreens Deals for 2/15/09
Hey, guys! Sorry I’ve been out of the loop for a couple of weeks with various and sundry life events, but I’m back with some deals for you. If you have a CVS near you, love washing your face and making money, boy, have I got a deal for you. For the rest of this week all Neutrogena sun care and facial products are Buy 2, get $10 Extra Care bucks. Here’s how you can use this to make some extra cash:
Currently, CVS is selling Neutrogena Fragrance Free Facial Bars for $2.99. Buy ‘em, get the CVS $10 bucks and earn around $4 that can be used on any future CVS purchase. (Goob: I’m actually working on a video that totally explains how the CVS Extra Care Bucks work in relation to the freebie world.)
As we all know, getting freebies is almost as good as getting cash. But this week Walgreens has the next best thing – A bunch of free-after-rebate offers.
- Zucol Cold Care Lozenges
- Revlon Age-Defying Spa Concealer or Spa Foundation
- Thermacare Trial Size Neck, Shoulder and Wrist Heat Wrap
- Garnier Fructis Wonder Waves Shampoo, Conditioner or Stylers, 6.8 to 13 oz.
- Walgreens No Rub Multi-Purpose Solution for Soft Contact Lenses
All of these can be purchased on-line or in store, so enjoy!

I hate not having a CVS near me. I live in Wichita, Kansas and all we have are Walgreens.
We have a CVS about 10 minutes from us, and a Walgreens in the same town. We're lucky because we get lots of good deals from both stores.
I rob the Walgreens every month with those EasySaver catalog items. I use coupons to buy the items, and they rebate you the pre-coupon price. Plus, if you get the rebate on a Walgreens gift card, you get an extra 10% off. You can submit the rebates on line, saving you the stamp. I signed up for the e-mail alerts. Every other month, I get an e-mail coupon for something like $10 off a $20 purchase. I use the coupon to buy the things I will get the rebate on. I can also submit the original receipts to get reimbursed through my medical spending account items (OTC medications, etc.). They're paying you to take the stuff!
Did the $10 extra bucks work with the neutrogena bars? They weren't among the items listed that qualified for the extra bucks at my CVS.
Has anyone actually tried this I only have a few hours left I don't want to go back to CVS if it doesn't work I just left there
I've been following this whole "Drug Store Game" online for about a month and I think I'm going to get my feet wet and try this out. From what I understand, some people started out buying a few items and then every month they have enough CVS or Walgreens rewards dollars to buy stuff with cashback, and the cycle repeats itself. On one blog I saw, someone is up to $50 something a month of FREE stuff from Walgreens. And I love how they will let you use the coupon, and still refund the pre-coupon price. Plus, you can use a manufactures coupon AND a store coupon at most of their stores.
It may be a bit of delayed gratification, but if that ain't better than free, I don't know what is!
The info is incorrect. The ExtraCare amount is for $3, not $10. And the facial cleaning bars were not listed as one of the items that qualified, at least not in southern CA.
Hey Goob, I subscribed to your site! I love it! Its in my favorites! I am writing today after subscribing so I can win the Amazon.com $50 gift card! Thanks for a wonderful website!
