Freebies and free stuff

I’m pretty sure that this is about endangered animals. Something like that, right? The only thing most endangered animals are in endangered of is becoming food. I mean, you ever think about how cuddly a koala steak might be? Cuddly and medium rare. I’ve heard they’re mean buggers, though. So maybe a panda or polar bear instead?

Needless to say, despite being hungry and not getting any of the free IHOP pancakes today, I think that this free travel pillow from the National Wildlife Federation would be cuddly enough to replace my koala steak. Though, I have to wonder… what are they filling these pillows with?

When Arby’s offered a similar free sandwich with the purchase of a drink deal last December, I received a ton of positive e-mails. Most people said their local Arby’s not only let them use the coupon by purchasing a small drink (since the coupon doesn’t stipulate what size), but that they were also allowed to use a coupon per family member. No idea if they’ll be as liberal with this coupon, but at this point it doesn’t matter: Arby’s rocks with freebies and puts other fast food chains to shame!

Oh yeah, the coupon expires March 9th. Which means you’ve got plenty of time to try out their new sandwich before sending me some fun e-mail to read!

This morning I feel a bit sluggish, to put it lightly. Probably because I took my daily shower the night before and the only “washing” my face got was the blast of cold air when I stepped outside the front door today.

Now I’m not saying that this free sample of Nelson’s Pure and Clean facewash would have made any difference, but at the very least it would have been better than falling asleep on the bus…

I drink an awful lot of tea. Seriously. Today at work? I had about 4 cups of the stuff in the span of 8 hours. Albeit it was almost all decaf today, but its still a lot. And cleaning out my cup between each cup is tedious for me. I’m just that lazy.

And you know, when you have freebies like this free BPA-free tea bottle for just sending an e-mail to 5 friends (or 5 spam e-mail addresses, as I did)? Well, it means just a little less cleaning…

Seriously, Horny Goat is a company. A beer company. Giving away condoms. It makes perfect sense! Speaking of even more free food. We had someone mention on the forums the other day about how tomorrow, 2/24, is free food day. Why, between the free Jack-in-the-Box coupon for tacos and the IHOP free pancake day, there was almost no reason at all to have to make or buy food tomorrow. Except for dinner, that is. You see, we couldn’t figure out that meal…

But now, freebie loving friends? We’re covered. You see, Quiznos is giving away 1,000,000 free subs. You sign up for a coupon, and it e-mails you a link to print one up almost right away. Be careful, though, you have only one chance to print that coupon and it expires 5 days from when you print it.

Free food on a Tuesday? All well and dandy… I’m hungry now and that Quiznos coupon just might not last…

And here’s a heads up for folks. For National Pancake Day tomorrow we’ve got a great instore freebie from iHop. They’re offering a short stack of pancakes (3 of those succulent suckers) for free from 7am to 10pm. (Edit: So apparently the TV’s been saying pm, not am. Still, check with your local one before expecting free pancakes at 10:30am. Don’t end up like Sonny Koufax!) If you choose to make a donation/pay for them, all proceeds go to the Children’s Miracle Network.

So hey, one way or another? Win win, I’d say!

All of these late nights up here on HIF looking for freebies make me hungry. And if I were to do the dishes, I’d wake or disturb the wife. Nope, don’t want to do that.

That’s why this coupon for a free Kashi Frozen entree is so great. Its better than banging around pots and pans to make food.

RewardsGold is offering a free Business Week magazine subscription and I’m now calling the Betty Ford Clinic to see if they have a division for people like me.

People, I have an addiction and I need help. Every day my mailbox is stuffed with free magazines and yet I only have enough time in the day to maybe read one entire magazine cover to cover. I’ve got a stack of magazines in my room pulling off their best impression of the Leaning Tower of Pisa and it’s only a matter of time before you see the headline “Man Crushed By Falling Stack of Free Magazines.” Maxim, TV Guide, The Economist, Forbes, Inc, Sound & Vision, Website Magazine, U.S. News & World Report, Martha Stewart, Woman’s Day and now a free one year subscription to Motorcyclist magazine can be added to the tower. Somebody stop me. I don’t even own a motorcycle!
