Free Fiber One Bar

If you remember at the beginning of this month, I had a text in freebie. Well folks, let’s call this one a two part freebie…

You see, ShopText apparently has a spanish side to their site too. And on that Spanish side, they’re giving away a free Fiber One bar, just by texting the word FIBER to the SMS code 467467.

Now you could simply just do that now, but if you haven’t signed up for ShopText before, they’re going to ask you input your information in a number of different texts. As one of our readers, Lisa, pointed out last time? That’s a lot of texts. And seeing the response is in Spanish, well, you might want to sign up online so they have your information there and you don’t have to try to decypher those 6 messages from Spanish.

At least I can understand enough Spanish to know what “Congrats, you are getting something free!” looks like.

Remember, again, standard text messaging/carrier rates apply, offer only valid in the U.S.

Free Maid-Rite Sandwich

I don’t think I’ve ever eaten at a Maid-Rite. I seem to recall them from the show Unwrapped or something I’ve seen on Food Network, but if you were to ask me what, I could only tell you that it wasn’t on Iron Chef.

That being said, this coupon for a free Maid-Rite Sandwich by signing up for their e-list is intriguing to me. It makes me almost want to road trip and find one within an 8 hour distance to me.

Or, just go to the store and buy a can of Manwich…

In-Store: Jergens Naturals Daily Moisturizer

This midwestern winter is wreaking havoc on me! Sure, I love the snow and hate the ice and curse the windchill, but my poor poor skin feels so dry and cracked. Its sad! I can’t just moon anyone I please because that would try out my baby soft bottom!

Its a good thing that there’s this free Jergens Naturals Daily Moisturizer event at your local Wal*Mart, though. Because without it, I would have had to wait till spring for the next full moon… ;)

Edit: See how much this weather has gotten to me? I just reposted an in-store as a regular freebie! Whoops! Sorry folks.

Instore: Free Victoria’s Secret Body Lotion

I’ve always wondered if Victoria was a real person or simply a made up entity, like Betty Crocker. Some of you might suggest that I inquire about this pressing mystery while using my free Victoria’s Secret body lotion coupon, but I’m two steps ahead of you. A few years back I tried that approach and it only resulted in 30 lost minutes, six confused employees, no answers, and three unnecessarily purchased bras. I still to this day don’t know how they convinced me to buy the bras, but I’m guessing that’s part of their secret.

Coupons: Aquafresh Toothpaste

If you head over to their site, you can print a ton of different Aquafresh coupons including a free trial size of Aquafresh Extreme Clean. I counted at least five different coupons before getting distracted from all the animations. For a website devoted to toothpaste, they sure do have a lot of sound effects and moving parts. I’m not sure if I should sign up for coupons or turn on some rave music.

Budget Busters #1 – Coupon Book

EDIT: So obviously the 2009 Entertainment Book is no longer available, however you can get the newest version here!

So Budget Busters is going to be a new series where I explain ways to save money while spending money: coupon, lowering your utility bills, trading items instead of buying them new, stuff like that. This first one covered the new Entertainment 2009 Coupon Book that basically has the following pros & cons:

Pros

  • Comes with $20,000+ in coupons.
  • You can look at the coupons in your area’s book before you get it! This is a huge bonus and that I think some people overlook. You essentially know exactly what you’re getting upfront.
  • Many of the coupons can only be found in this booklet and are worth more than most circular coupons. (free entree instead of only an appetizer, etc)
  • Each book is area specific (mine is for the D.C. region only), so around half of the coupons are for locally owned and small stores.
  • Coupons expire on Nov 1, 2009 at the earliest, so you have almost a year to use them.

Cons

  • Costs between $16-20, but comes with free shipping.
  • Some of the coupons for on-line retailers can be found by Googling.
  • Most restaurant coupons are BOGO, so it’s not that great for a single person.

I gave an example in the video of how I ate at my favorite Mexican hole in the wall recently for my birthday and used a BOGO coupon for a free $10 entree. That’s already half of the cost it took to purchase the coupon booklet and after I use the second BOGO coupon in a few months, I’ll have recouped the price of purchase. After that, every time I use one of the other hundreds of coupons, it’s like free money.

So at the very least, check out your region’s Entertainment 2009 Coupon Book and see if the coupons in your area interest you! If so, order a book while it’s still on sale for 30% off WITH free shipping!

I also announced the winner of the $50 Target gift card, which was Deem2. Thank you to everyone who participated and if you’re now following me on Twitter, send me a message and I’ll gladly reply!

There’s also one last hidden clue in the video about something else coming up, but I can’t say anything more about that :D

Free “The 7-Minute Difference” Book

The last time I checked, this free “The 7-Minute Difference” book was a bit longer than a 7 minute read. So it makes me feel like the title is already lying to me.

And how do I know that the title is lying? Its been 7 minutes since I requested this freebie and nothing’s changed! Except the clock on the wall, but I don’t think that counts…

Free Starbuck’s Instant Coffee

Give me caffeine, or give me death. That’s my battle cry each and every morning, my freebie loving friends. It should then come as no surprise that (1) I have tons of tea in my cubicle at work, (2) I have a Diet Dr. Pepper in the morning first thing at my desk, and (3) when I can afford it, I go to Starbucks.

And yes, I’m one of those snobs with my own drink: 6 shot venti latte with whole milk and chai syrup. Though, just getting this free Starbuck’s Instant Coffee sample intrigues me… And if its any good? I might have to get some to go with my tea…

Free L’Oréal EverPure Shampoo

EDIT: Bummer, looks like their out of both sizes already.

Raise your hand if you’ve ever pronounced L’Oréal as “Low Real.” Aw come on, I’m the only idiot to pull this off? Yeah, I can’t really say that surprises me. They’re giving away some free EverPure Shampoo though and if you have 10 friends who you can refer, they’ll upgrade your sample from a freebie to a full sized bottle. Unfortunately they don’t count imaginary friends, which I find downright despicable! Mr. Snuggles never gets any freebies and now I’m the one who has to go and console him. Thanks a lot, Low Real! I mean…dang it!

Free Huggies Soft Skin Wipes

I get up every morning a little over an hour before I have to leave, just to make sure I’m up. Heck, as I type this, I’m about 6 hours from my alarm going off at 6am (CST here for me, Goob’s over in EST), and then a shower and a start to my day…

However, as soon as these free Huggies Soft Skin wipes come? I might be able to sleep in an extra half and hour and just towel off… Wet naps rock.
