Free Organic Lettuce Seeds
EDIT: Looks like they’re all out!
Any time I’ve ever tried to start a garden, I’ve either A) forgotten about it, B) forgotten about it, or C) What was I talking about again? That won’t stop me from trying to use Earthbound Farm’s free organic lettuce seeds to grow a mini-garden out back.
I really shouldn’t even bother though, I’m about as nourishing as the surface of Pluto. I’m pretty sure there’s a clause buried in Obama’s recent stimulus plan about me being banned from ever having children.

cashd00d, - Go to the website for Earthbound Farms and they will show you how to grow the seeds indoors in their plastic containers. But you can use other containers. Just make sure there is good drainage, and that you don't bury the seeds while watering. Lettuce seeds need the warmth of the sun to sprout, so just barely cover them with potting soil when you plant them. If you use a spray bottle to water them with like the website says (good idea), you might have to spray the soil several times a few minutes apart initially since some peat based mixes are slow to absorb water. Good luck!
