That Cool Savings site is such a bitch, I gave up after filling in over 100 circles that said NO.

Do you need a laser, ink jet, or color printer to print out these coupons? I’ve always hesitated to sign up at any of these sites because I still use an old dot matrix printer. When I print out anything it looks like I used a typewriter with a dry ribbon. Stores already hassle me when I use old coupons, issued in the 1980s, with no expiration dates or UPC symbols on them. Some clerks think if the coupon can’t be scanned, it isn’t legitimate. God forbid they learn what keys to punch in to subtract 25 cents from my bill. It’s so embarassing when they have to call for a supervisor to deal with a customer like me.

Fake (photocopied) internet coupons are the reason why some stores have stopped accepting printed coupons. Each printed coupon has it’s own unique number, and manufacturers refuse to reimburse stores for more than one coupon with the same number on it. This kind of fraud hurts all of us.

Thanks for all the great links .. I thought I knew all the best sites but you mentioned a few I didn’t know about. I’m bummed about Shortcuts … there are no stores in my area that utilize their card. Oh well, .. can’t have it all! lol

I have found that you can combine both the ecoupons with both regular coupons and printer coupons on the same product. Many of the ones available from coupons.com are also available on shortcuts.com making for double the savings.

O.K., first off, often when you print a coupon from these sites, if you tap your backspace key 2 or 3 times they will print you a second coupon!! Give it a try I swear it works at coupons.com and smartsource.com.
As far as success stories, I have to travel an hour to find a grocery store that doubles coupons (yes they even double printable coupons), it is the Giant chain of stores (not to be confused with Giant Eagle) in the last 2 weeks alone I have saved $150 using coupons both printable and newspaper coupons. Yipee!!

Rich, I think it’s the companies that are issuing the coupons (general mills, p&g, etc.) who stipulate to the coupon sites only to allow 1 coupon to be printed.

Jim, Walmart luckily has a corporate coupon policy. I keep a copy in my back pocket whenever I shop there.

Printable coupons are great, but for those of you that haven’t been to WalMart lately, many of the stores are being hit by “fake” coupons, and will no longer accept “Internet” or printed coupons. I don’t think it’s a corporate policy; I think it’s a local store manager’s decision.

Why do most, if not all, online coupon sites only let you print out 1 coupon?

If I were in a store and there was a pad of coupons, I could take as many as I needed.

If I needed more coupons from the Sunday paper, I could buy another paper or buy extra coupons from ebayers.

So, what is the reason to limit Internet coupons to 1? Couldn’t you photocopy the printed coupon to make as many as you needed?

Just wondering.
