Instore: Free Thomas & Friends Wooden Train at Toys ‘R’ Us, 3/21-22

Growing up, I used to watch Thomas & Friends. I remember when Ringo Starr was the conductor of it, and maybe that had something to do with my love of the Beatles. But I don’t remember when George Carlin was the funny man behind the wooden trains and the stories. Maybe I blocked that out so I could appreciate him in all of his glory for seven words that he’s so well known for.

Speaking of seven words, I’ve got seven that describe this post: free Thomas wooden train with coupon instore. Sure, those seven words don’t tell you that the coupon is good today or tomorrow and that its at Toys ‘R’ Us, but you would have kept reading anyways. :)

Instore: Free Franklin Covey Planner, today (3/21)

Just like getting laid off because of the economy, this freebie just snuck right up on us. Yup, you don’t expect that, and we didn’t expect to have a freebie like this one at all.

See, today at all participating Franklin Covey stores, head in and tell them the name of your last employer and the day that you were let go? And they’ll give you a free planner so you can keep track of your new interviews and quest for a new job.

Not a bad deal… minus the whole “lost your job” part.

Free Printable Coupon Sites

To go along with Jen’s recent post of free eCoupon sites, I decided to put together a list of what I consider to be the best printable coupon sites. In short, you can go to any of the sites below, select the coupons you want, and print them out right at home! Many of these coupons can be printed once per computer, so if you have access to a computer & printer at home, work, and/or school…well, you get the idea :)

One small tip: if you’re having trouble installing any of the printing software for the couple of sites that require it, you might want to make sure you’re using Internet Explorer and that you have any ad-blocking software turned off. I use Firefox for my normal web-surfing, but sometimes it has trouble printing the coupons.

Coupons.com – Hands down the #1 leader in printable coupons. Their selection is gigantic and they update coupons at least once a month. I routinely print a dozen or two coupons from them every month and regularly save $20 or more.

Box Tops 4 Education – Their selection is sparse, but they make up for this slight drawback by having some that no other site has.

Free Roots of Nature Remedies

EDIT: Haha, so Adam already posted this earlier this morning. Hooray for ineptitude! My bad :D

Okay, this free Roots of Nature Remedies haircare product is a Walmart freebie, so we all know what that means: it’ll be here within two or three weeks, but it’ll also be dead by the end of the day since freebies from Walmart have a shorter lifespan than a bubble.

The last time I encountered any roots of nature was when I was digging a ditch in my backyard. It turned out that I was digging right on top of some roots from a nearby dead tree. I ultimately decided my only choice was to pull out an axe and start hacking away at them. What a fun and memorable day that miraculously resulted in me retaining all of my toes and fingers!

Instore: Free Rita’s Italian Ice

I can’t wait to enjoy this free Rita’s Italian Ice later on today, because this has been the week from hell. It started with that [censored] flu followed by a [censored] error that wouldn’t go away on the site. Add on top of that the [censored] [censored] problem and the [censored] [I believe that's a cuss word in Spanish] with a [and there's one in French] followed by the [censored] [okay now he's just making them up] ordeal. And don’t get me started with the [censored] [Goob's Mom is shaking her head] at Yahoo!

But today is the first day of Spring. New beginnings! Fresh starts! At least that’s what Rita’s is celebrating today from noon until 10pm and you know what? I’m drinking the Kool Aid…er, crushed ice, and buying 100% into it. Spring is here and nothing can stop me from feeling good today.

Update #2: March Madness Contest

So, Yahoo screwed us. Hey, that’s a fun way to start a post, isn’t it?!

Long story short, Yahoo glitched and switched the scoring system for our first group, so I’m gonna be treating each group separately and giving out two first place prizes and two second places prizes. I know, I know, I rock.

Short story long, click below to read more.

Free Kellogg’s All Bran Drink Mix

EDIT: And it’s dead. This is not our week, huh?

EDIT #2: As of 4:32 EST, this freebie is alive again. Hooray for zombie freebies!

My wife and I recently got a new coffee machine. Classic styling, but there’s something about having a fresh hot cup or four of coffee in the morning that just seems about right. Coffee is one of those perfect drinks that you should have at least once a day, I think.

But now, there’s this free Kellogg’s All Bran drink mix sample. Something about the fact that its lemonade appeals to me, and yet at the same time, I’m scared. Its not coffee.

I think I could use a hug… Or more caffeine, because its darn early…

Free Roots of Nature Hair Samples

Welcome to the first day of spring, my HIF friends. The birds are chirping, the grass is greening, and there’s a little something extra in the air. Yup. Humidity.

I guess now’s the perfect time for this free Roots of Nature sample. You get both the Strengthening Oil Moisturizer and Reconstructing Deep Treatment. Fight humidity? From the descriptions, it seems that it helps weak and treated hair, so maybe not as much. I can only hope, though.

At least it won’t turn my hair green like the grass… or so I hope…

Free Gain Detergent

Freebie-Karma has a way today of telling me what I need to do…

First, it was the IKEA breakfast freebie, telling me that I need to go grab some food. Then the Magic: The Gathering freebie that seemed to be telling me to have some fun, and now this free Gain laundry detergent, which is reminding me of exactly what I have to do today: head to Sam’s Club and do the laundry later too.

This is creepy. I’d better get on my daily tasks before I find some freebie that says “Adam, get busy!”

Free Magic: The Gathering Deck

EDIT: Deader than dead again, folks… Sorry…

Back in November, I happened across a freebie that made me a bit nostalgic… See, in high school, I was a bit more of a nerd than I am now. I played Magic: The Gathering, Star Wars Collectible Card Game, and a vampire collectible card game. Yup, I’d scrounge up my money and buy decks of “collectible cards” that were supposedly worth “money.” And then, I remember the day that Pokemon cards came around, and all of my cards? Were worth about what I paid for one deck. Le sigh.

But now, I don’t feel as bad by requesting this free deck of Magic: The Gathering cards. Because after I receive this free deck? I shall rule the world!

Until the new set comes out and totally pwns me… :(
