Instore: Free Grilled Chicken at KFC

KFC just keeps going through changes. I remember when they went from the old Colonel commercials to the new animated Colonel. Then when they tried the whole “Kentucky FRESH Chicken” instead? Oh boy, that was almost scandalous!

But now that they’re doing grilled chicken, I guess they thought that KGC would be a good new name. And to try that run through, they’re giving away a free piece of grilled chicken (of the manager’s choice) at participating locations on Monday, April 27.

Sounds like a good enough deal to me to make that one dinner after work tomorrow night!

    Not to be a stickler, Goob, but I think you mean KITCHEN Fresh Chicken.

    Although chickens fresh from Kentucky might be kind of interesting…

    I remember the name change, though. I still think they ought to just change it to KFM and get it over with.

    KGC sounds a little too much like KGB.

    It was pretty good! I got a leg and my husband got a thigh. Was hoping for a breast, but knew that wasn’t gonna happen. :) It wasn’t bad.

    I went with the fam and they had no grilled chicken. They did offer us a choice of original or extra crispy. And, when I acted disappointed and asked for “good” pieces….. I got two breasts and two thights!

    Oh ya…. My yellow pages still list KFC as Kentucky Fried Chicken.

    I tried the free grilled chicken, but I can’t recommend it. They gave me a small, and I mean small, wing with no flavor except what the grill gave it. I expected a few spices along with the grilling. After all they are the home of 11 herbs and spices chicken.

    this turned out to be a wild day in the MD/DC area! on the day of free chicken, the trucks serving this area were off schedule. there was NO chicken on the bone of any kind at any store…you could have strips, popcorn or sandwiches. the joint i was at didn’t have slaw or corn either. i sat and watched folks going off…there was yelling, profanity and threats. it was a bit much to see how we CAN get from disappointment over lunch
