Free Metropolitan Home Subscription

Here’s another short quiz from Rewards Gold with the prize being a free Metropolitan Home magazine subscription. My only question is why doesn’t the “What did you use for wall decor in your bedroom?” question have “childhood super hero posters” as an option?

Free Scrubbing Bubbles Shower Caddy

EDIT: Supplies are exhausted!

Here’s to hoping this free Scrubbing Bubbles shower caddy actually comes with some free soap as well, because otherwise it’s not going to help me much. Well, on second though, maybe you can simply jam a bar of soap in there and call it a day. Judges?

*Judge’s Ruling: eeeerrrrrnt*

Ugh. The judges never okay my ides. I don’t even know why I pay them to follow me around anymore.

Free Better Than Ears Dog Treats

EDIT: This freebie is no longer available.

These free Better Than Ears dog treats bill themselves as a “soft & chewy pig ear alternative.” Um…what? Are my dogs eating pig ears behind my back? I’d like to think I’d notice any suspicious looking ears lying around my house. Are they sampling my ears every time they wake me up by licking me? Fantastic, now I’m paranoid of my own dogs.

Free Post-It Pop-Up Notes

EDIT: This is no longer available.

From what I can tell, this free Post-It pop-up notes offer is over a year old, but it doesn’t expire until June so there’s hope. I’m actually in dire need of some more post-it notes because I used my last one this morning. I wonder what I wrote on it…I should probably put up another note to check that out. *reaches for post-it* Ah, dang it!

When signing up, use the code n8r4ry and you should be good to go.

Also, I’ve noticed that most comments are going straight to moderation instead of being posted to HIF. I’m looking into the reason why and should have it fixed shortly.

Free Triple Flex Softgels

Nature Made is giving away a free supply of Triple Flex softgels. Judging from their website, these not only allow you to do high steps in both the right and left directions, but they’ll help you grow a thick beard and attract ladies with your massive biceps.

It’s not like I need any help attracting the ladies though. I just need to figure out why they’re so judgmental. It’s like they pretend not to hear me asking them out and instead only want to ask stupid questions like why I’m wearing a dress or what’s up with all the makeup. Well excuse me for wanting to feel pretty, Ms. Negative Nancy!

Free Natrol Carb Intercept Sprinkles

I have no idea what these free Natrol Carb Intercept sprinkles are, but it took my information and said a freebie was on the way, so…there’s that. I wish I could add a question mark to the category below. “Filed in: Food?”

Is it just me or have we been in a mini-freebie drought for the past two weeks? I miss the good ole days of March. It was a simpler time back then. Fear and panic ruled the nightly news, politicians were as feckless as they were clueless, gas was the same price as it is today, and I procrastinated doing my taxes by watching baseball. Ah, delicious nostalgia.

Free Lemonade Stand Kit

Alex’s Lemonade Stand is a non-profit dedicated to fighting cancer in children and now they’re offering a free lemonade stand kit to ideally be used during Lemonade Days on June 12th to June 14th. In addition, they have printable resources for how best to run a lemonade stand and help donate the money to worthy causes. I forwarded this to my little sister and she’s already signed up and looking forward to helping raise some money, so you might want to consider using this as a fun summertime activity!

For more information on the freebie and the charity in general, check out this page.

Income Tax Day Freebies & Deals

Ugh. Income Tax Day is only 48 hours away and I’ve still yet to finish mine. I’ve only entered in my name and address on my Turbo Tax account, but the status bar still reads as 0% complete. That’s not too encouraging if you ask me. I have an inkling I’ll be pulling a Homer come Wednesday. Why couldn’t I be more like Flanders?

In the mean time, enjoy this list of free Income Tax Day freebies and deals! As always with these day-long freebies, you might want to call ahead and make sure your local branch is participating.

Tax Day Freebies

Tax Day freebies and deals

Free Taco Del Mar Taco – This freebie actually arrives as a coupon via e-mail, so be sure to sign up for it now just in case it takes them a day to send it to you.

Free Cinnabun Bites – This one’s only going on from 5-8pm, so be sure to plan your trip accordingly. I almost made a horrendous pun about planning my trip, as in falling down, and how I felt weird about it. You’re welcome that I abandoned aforementioned pun.

Free MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream – As part of their “e-cone-omic” ice cream stimulus package ( ), they’re giving away a free scoop of ice cream to anybody who stops by throughout the day. As a thank you for the freebie, I officially forgive them for using the term “e-cone-omic.”

Free HydroMassage – If you have a location near you, call them up today and make an appointment for Wednesday! My back has been killing me lately, so I would die for a free massage right about now.

Tax Day Deals

P.F. Chang’s China Bistro Discount – Stop in for a meal and get 15% off your bill.

McCormick and Schmick’s Gift Certificate – Basically, if you eat here on tax day, they’ll give you a $10.40 gift certificate for any future visit. That’s kind of a key point, because I can see a lot of people mistakenly thinking they’ll be able to use the GC as soon as they eat on Wednesday.

Chick-fil-a Rebate – I can’t find an official press release from them, but a few different news outlets are reporting on this so I feel it’s fairly legit. Go to your local Chick-fil-a on Wednesday, make a purchase, and save the receipt. Then take the receipt back any day between April 16-30 and get a free meal of whatever you purchased!

T.G.I. Friday’s Gift Card – Spend $15-$25 on April 15th and receive a $5 gift card. Spend over $25 and receive a $10 gift card. In addition, remember the latest Budget Busters post where I mentioned TGIF had a reward program? Well, it turns out that for the entire month of April, you earn double points. So if you spend $50 between now and April 30th, you’ll receive an $8 gift card to boot.

Know of any that I missed? Then please feel free to comment and let us know. Heck, leave a comment even if you don’t know of any more!

Free BJ’s Wholesale Club Membership

Unfortunately this 60-day free BJ’s Wholesale Club membership is only good on the East coast, so I’ll have to try and find a West coast freebie for all of you three hours behind me. I know I’ve got one of these fairly close to me, so I might stop in and check it out. At the very least, I could buy a 20 gallon jar of honey mustard that should last me until July. Oh, who am I kidding, June at the latest.

Free Baseball Digest Subscription

EDIT: Looks like this is no longer available.

I absolutely love baseball, so I didn’t mind the sign up process for this free Baseball Digest subscription. There are two or three pages where it asks if you want to sign up for any additional magazines (I didn’t) and then you’ll be taken to the final subscription form. Trying to decide what industry I work in was a bit hard as well. You’d think they’d have an option for “Freebie Hunter,” but I had to break down and pick “Other.”
