Instore: Free Charlotte Russe Sunglasses
Starting today, if you bring a June 2009 cover of Seventeen magazine or a printout of the seventeen.com homepage to any participating Charlotte Russe store, you’ll get a pair of free Charlotte Russe sunglasses. The last time Seventeen did something like this was back in March with the Aeropostale t-shirts. A bunch of people commented on that post, both with negative and positive experiences, so at the very least I’d call ahead and make sure your store has some of the sunglasses in supply before you trek to the mall.
Of course, this is all a moot point if you’re a guy, as the fine print excludes us from the freebie. Which is good, because I didn’t want these stupid, girly sunglasses. They’re smelly and stinky and my source tells me they’ve got cooties! *sticks out his tongue and runs away.*

I got the sunglasses and they are really…weird. They’re huge and pink/orange. Not recommended for anyone over ten. I’m going to have to find a kid to give these to. Or save them for a Halloween party.

I just tried to get a pair of the glass es and I was told that you need to have a coupon in side the magazine and would not take the print out of the home page. What a waste of time!!!
uum, no its the home page. pritn out the rules and regulations from the website and highlight it and show it to them…….it clearly states to print the homepage

I got my sunglasses! I won’t be wearing these hideous sunglasses though! I can’t imagine they’ll block much sun, but orange and pink? No wonder they are giving them away, they probably couldn’t sell them!
I went with a friend to Charlotte Russe today for the free sunglasses. They are huge on my face! Too huge! You definitely have to have the right face to wear these gigantic orange/pink sunglasses. My friend didn’t care for them either. What can I say, though? They were free. Don’t feel too bad if you go and they ran out already!

Yeah, I had some issues with JCP, with the free undie deal…good thing I brought the Official Rules from Seventeen’s website, they werent gonna give me my freebie, saying you have to have the magazine lol. HAHHA I showed them the rules and I dont think they liked that I was right. Always bring those Official Rules and of course the Homepage with you when Seventeen does these freebies.

I am Sooooooooo frustrated about this deal. I went to a participating store on May 6, 2009 early in the morning only to learn that they were completely depleted. Then the sales associate said “actually we ran out as of May 5, 2009 – the corporate office only sent us 12 pairs of sunglasses!” I was outraged. I mean there are all these sunglasses in the store that have a price tag of $5.99 and the promotion indicated that you had UP to $6.00 … False advertising if you ask me. I have since expressed my disdain with Charlotte Russe in a form a letter.
