Instore: Lowes Build & Grow Clinic

There’s another free Lowes Build & Grow clinic for kids tomorrow at 10am. This time it looks like they’ll be building a Ready 2 Go kit, which…what the heck is that? Is it like a bug-out bag? If so, I guess that’s not such a bad idea.

In fact, let me make a few suggestions as to what important items should go in a person’s BOB. *rummages through his bag* Let’s see, flashlight, sleeping bag, book of ghost stories, smores ingredients, can of shaving cream…

Hmmm. On second thought, this looks more life a sleep-over bag. I don’t think there’s any way I’ll be surviving a major disaster.

what is the age requirement on this?

Their website doesn’t list any age requirements, but you could try calling your local Lowe’s and asking them. The clinic provides basic tools and supervision on using them, so I’d guess there aren’t too many limits on who can attend.

My kids loves it. You get a badge for completion. The Lowes here in Baytown, Texas, does the workshop every Saturday.

We took the kids this weekend. They love this stuff! My daughter says it is a ‘craft’ and my son says it is a ‘Bob the Builder.’ We do the Home Depot ones almost every month; this is very similar. Both are nice and a good way to start a day of family fun.
