Instore: Free Ice Cream @ Walmart (May 30)

Walmart is holding Free Ice Cream Day this Saturday (May 30) from 11am-4pm. I can’t wait that long though, so I’m currently hosting a Free Ice Cream for Lunch event. I have a feeling I’ll determine with hindsight that this wasn’t one of my brightest ideas ever. But darn if it isn’t delicious.

    Yum, I’m in for ice cream @ lunch! wish you were local! I think ice cream should always be free! BTW, thanks for such an awesome web site, found you a few weeks ago & I love IT! My new fave site!

    Too bad it’s only at the supercenters and I just sold my car! I live like a stone’s throw from a plain old wal-mart.

    fyi: Just below the zip code search, it lists the free samples. Who knows if that’s what will actually be there, but at least it’s a start.

    The nearest supercenter is over an hour away. Maybe if I start walking now I can get there by Saturday.

    I think it’s perfectly acceptable to have ice cream for lunch. I’ll admit, I’ve eaten it for “brunch” before. Somehow, a giant of ice cream atop a waffle makes it more breakfast-y.

    Here is what Wal-Mart is giving away on the free ice cream day: Available items: 1.57 fl oz. Dibs Snack Bag, 2.4 fl oz. Blue Bunny Aspen Frozen Yogurt Granola Bar, and 4 oz. Ben & Jerry’s Flipped Out Cup.

    friend is employed there, and they had a meeting on thursday saying the ice cream give-away is Friday not Saturday…not sure who is right!

    5-3-09 winchester,ky walmart did NOT have free ice cream.manager said”demo” people did not show up.we wasted time and expensive gas for NOTHING!!!very disappointed.
