Free Cycle World Magazine Subscription

EDIT: Looks like this is no longer available.

I signed up for this free Cycle World magazine subscription only so I could get the address to the editor. I’ve already begun crafting a letter explaining why me and my slick, pink Huffy with a wicked cool basket on the handlebars should be on the cover of their next edition. I’m pretty confident it could be their biggest selling issue to date.

Free Garnier Ultra-Lift Pro Cream

EDIT: We Hiffed it!

There are way too many adjectives in the name of this free Garnier Ultra-Lift Pro Deep Wrinkle Cream. Walmart could just call it White Goop and it’d make about as much sense to me.

Coupon: Free Quiznos Flatbread Sammie (w/ purchase)

I don’t have a Quiznos within walking distance, so somebody answer me this riddle: how much does a side and regular size fountain drink cost? The reason I ask is because if you join their Q-Club, you can get a printable coupon (no software needed) for a free Quiznos flatbread Sammie with the purchase of those two items. Not quite a free meal, but if you happen to eat there for lunch or dinner occasionally, a free $5 sandwich isn’t too shabby. (edit: Some Hiffers have pointed out that these are actually pretty small, so I wouldn’t go out of your way just for this freebie.)

When signing up, make sure you use your real name because they superimpose it on the coupon. Nobody told me that and now my coupon reads “This online certificate entitles Smelly Feet to one free sammie.” Great, I can’t wait to try and talk my way out of that one.

Free Kids Summer Reading Rewards

As long as you count the backs of cereal boxes, I’m quite the voracious reader. In fact, if your children are anything like me, you may be interested to see this list that Freebies 4 Mom put together of rewards that kids can receive this summer in exchange for doing a little reading. I’ve already written about the Barnes & Noble offer, but the rest should be new to most of us Hiffers.

Scholastic Summer Challenge – Earn points by reading and playing games on their site and in exchange kids can use the points for prizes and sweepstakes entries.

Half-Price Books Feed Your Brain – From June 1-July 31, for every week kids 12 and under read at least 15 minutes, they earn a $3 Half-Price Books gift card. That’s roughly, what, 8 weeks for $32 total? Not bad. I’ve never heard of this place, but apparently they have stores in over a dozen states.

Pottery Barn Book Club – This is actually an ongoing program where they hold a storytime on Tuesdays from 11 to 11:30 am. Once your kid attends 5 sessions and has their booklet stamped, they get a reward. I’m not sure what it actually is (F4M is reporting it’s a $10 off coupon), but this is the perfect way to prepare your child for all the future oil-change stamp cards they’ll need to keep track of later in life.

TD Bank Summer Reading – This is a pretty limited freebie location-wise since the only places with TD banks are on the East coast, but it’s worth posting. If your child reads ten books, then they get $10! Where in the world was this deal when I was a kid?

Borders Reading Challenge – Once children 12 and under read eight books, they good to choose a $4.99 Reading Challenge item, which their flier states is a savings of 50%. So…the items normally cost $10+ and your kid gets them for $5? I gotta say, the wording on their advertisement is a little weak. You’d expect better grammar from a bookstore.

If you know of any more summer reading rewards, let us know about it in the comments!

Site Review: YouData

Earn free money with YouData

For the past few weeks, I’ve been putting together a big post on some of the best survey sites around. It’s been a bit time consuming going through each of them, but there’s one site that I thought I’d share with you today since it’s hands down the easiest way to earn a little extra cash. It’s called YouData and frankly, unless you hate free money, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be a member.

Basically you log on each week and view any ads that you qualify for. They generally pay out at around $0.15 to $0.25 each and once you’ve viewed all of your available ads, that’s it. It takes ~60 seconds to view all of my ads each week and in exchange, I generally get about $1. Now, we’re not talking about making millions obviously, but do the math.

$1 per week for 60 seconds of your time. That’s $52 a year for 52 minutes, or an average of $60/hr. If you’re making $60/hr in your current job, chances are this wouldn’t interest you, but seeing as how I certainly don’t make that much and I doubt many others do, this is a sweet little source of side case. Of course, this is predicated on the basis that you’ll qualify for $1 worth of ads each week, but I’ve been safely earning around that rate for the past two months so far.

The best part is that payments are automatic. Most of the other sites that I’m reviewing have a minimum cashout threshold and once you reach it, it’s up to you to request the payment. Not YouData. Every Friday, they automatically send whatever you earned the previous week via Paypal. No minimums, no extra steps on your part to ask for the money, no hassles.

My much longer post on earning some extra cash isn’t going to be ready for another week or two as I’m trying to be as thorough as possible, but I thought I’d share this site with ya now since I’m still searching for the freebies today.

EDIT: As mentioned in the comments, YouData requires a user to have a cell phone in order to sign up. My bad for not mentioning that earlier. Seeing as how I signed up a few months ago, I simply forgot.

Free Sports Magazines

I’m not much of an outdoors type: the sun’s too bright, all that fresh air is stifling, and who in the world thought it was a good idea to let bugs just roam free in the wild?! That said, there are some decent new magazines available for anybody who enjoys exercise and social contact.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to hop in my giant bubble and get back to becoming the palest human ever.

Rebate: Free Blue Bunny Ice Cream

If you purchase any Blue Bunny Aspen or Sedona Frozen Yogurt Granola Novelty over Memorial Day weekend (May 23-25), then you can use this free free Blue Bunny rebate form to get a full refund! You have until June 10 to postmark the submission and the rebate check should arrive at your house within 4-6 weeks of them receiving your claim. I plan on also asking if they’ll pay for a session or two with a personal trainer to help me work off the tubs of ice cream and piles of hamburgers I plan on eating this weekend.

Thanks to all the awesome Hiffers who sent this in!

Coupon: Free Oscar Mayer Hotdogs

EDIT: This offer is no longer available.

Jenna wrote about the fantastic Kraft coupons last night, but I wanted to point out that until midnight tonight, you can sign up for a free Oscar Mayer hotdogs coupon to be sent to you in the mail. I love Oscar Mayer products simply because of their old “my bologna has a first name” commercials. A running game in the Goob household is to insert a family member’s name as the first name and then spell off an insanely long sentence as the last name. Problem is I’m a horrendous speller, so whenever it’s my turn, the end result tends to be something like “Bob Smellsluekarowneb7egg”

Walgreens Coupon (2 days only!)

In addition to the typical seasonal allergy symptoms, I’ve also been experiencing something far, far worse: Walgreens withdrawal symptoms. Obviously, the only cure is to make a trip to good ol’ Wags and search for those beloved orange clearance stickers and hidden deals. Now I have another great reason to go, a $5 off $25 coupon. The coupon can be used in-store or online this Wednesday and Thursday only, so act fast!

Lots of Kraft Coupons

Head on over to Kraftfoods.com to grab some great coupons for all sorts of products, including Wheat Thins, Easy Mac, Cool-Whip, Jell-O, Crystal Light, Grey Poupon (haha, poupon), and Planters, just to name a few. Hurry, though, the coupons are in limited supply!

You’ll have to register and install the coupon printer before you can view and print the coupons, but it’s a pretty easy process. Unless you end up on the Spanish Kraft site like my sister somehow did. (Personally, I like the German Kraft website best).

Edit by Goob: Kraft also has two printable coupons here. In fact, they also have a section on that page where you can help donate free food to Feeding America just by clicking on an image.
