I actually used to volunteer at my local group, but they recently asked me to stop coming. Apparently I was breaking some rules by bringing my dirty dishes and letting all the pets “clean” them for me. Hey, it’s not my fault my dishwasher was broken! Can you think of a better way to clean them, Mrs. Smartypants? Exactly, I didn’t think so.

Every time I stumble across some free Arm & Hammer toothpaste I can’t help but wonder if they couldn’t have picked a better logo. I understand how the A&H logo is widely known and recognized, but still, neither an arm nor a hammer are objects that I want near my teeth.
I know it’s not much, but Moo.com is giving away 10 free business cards that might come in handy. I wanted to keep mine clean and classy, so I just put my name, phone number, and the message “sorry for hitting your mailbox/car/house/fence” at the bottom. I figure they should last me through the end of the July.
I really don’t know what this free Kerastase in-salon treatment is, but the fine print says that if you call ahead and reserve a space, you can get a one free complimentary treatment and blow dry service. Is that…good? This is clearly one of the more blatant times where we need another female writer on staff. I feel about as useful as a phonograph repairman right now.
