It seems every other month or so another Head and Shoulders sample comes out. And again, its no surprise that here we are with another free Head and Shoulders sample and coupon link is available.
You’d think the company would have realized by now that we have plenty of Head and Shoulders and are just waiting for their Knees and Toes to come out… My toes are too dirty and something needs to be done!
Every Head & Shoulders sample I receive is busted by the time I get it. It's like they don't want me to try it. I don't have dandruff though...maybe they know that when I order it, and simply mail me a busted bottle with a glob of shampoo smeared all over it? I can hear the conversation that gave rise to this tactic: President of P&G, angry and perturbed: "Wow, those H&S samples are really flying out of here. It's costing us a fortune!" Lowly marketing employee that suggested the sample giveaway in the first place, definitely nervous: "Umm, yes sir. According to my research, there are 1 million folks in the US with dandruff, but we've already given out over 3 million samples. I didn't think the demand would be anywhere near this large. Would you like me to discontinue the program altogether?" President: "No, we still want to reach the valid customer base that actually has dandruff. I have an idea. Start sending out the busted samples to folks that don't actually have dandruff. They'll get less product, and after getting 2 or 3 of them, they'll stop requesting them...leaving the good samples for the four people left in this country that actually have dandruff and haven't gotten a sample yet." Marketing employee: 'Umm, sir? How are we supposed to know who has dandruff and who doesn't when they order the samples?" President: "We're P&G, one of the largest companies in the world, with unlimited capital and resources. We have eyes and ears everywhere. We have our ways. Contact the head of security, Bruno, and he'll set you up a meeting with some of our best 'information seekers'. Don't tell anyone though...remember, we have eyes and ears EVERYWHERE, and we know where you live. Don't forget who you work for now." marketing employee, after the meeting: runs home and clears out all of his stuff, hitting the road that afternoon, never to be heard from again :)
