Free Glidden Paint on June 25

Everybody mark their calendar for June 25, because that’s when we’ll be able to sign up for a free quart of Glidden paint. Some people might consider getting a color that they currently use in order to have some touch-up paint lying around, but I plan on using mine to repaint my truck. All paint’s the same, right?

They say they’ll “send” the paint to you, which I assume means through the mail. But…isn’t that unsafe at best while borderline illegal? Not that I’m complaining though – I’ve always wanted to be a rebel.

As far as shipping it to you would cost them a ton of money. Shipping paint is very costly. It is a hazardous material at that point.

My father actually painted his truck with house paint and a roller. Turned out really good, actually, and lasted the life of the truck.

Ahhhhhh- I was 1 of those that asked for posts the day before. now you know I will forget about this before june 25.

Michelle, I’m whipping up a calendar feature that I’ll roll out this week :)

KFM, Excellent photo usage AND info!

Morgan, that was my thinking as well. They surely must be planning on only sending out vouchers / coupons / something similar, but I couldn’t say that in the post since their site doesn’t say that.

I got mine without any trouble. I logged on at 6:45 CDT though. I have already received an email stating my chosen quart of color will arrive in 3-4 weeks. you get a choice of about 100 colors. However, my co-worker just tried to get on and it’s now not working. Since I am positive it works, I’m sure it will be back up soon. Just keep trying!

  16. #16 Jane |

I just called (my screen froze at the point I was told to wait because my order was being transmitted), pressed 1, after a minute or so was told that my call couldn’t be completed and to call again.

  17. #17 Jane |

I called again and was on hold for 7-10 minutes waiting for the next rep who said they’ve been over overwhelmed as it’s the first day of the promotion. She took my information and it’ll be here in 3-4 weeks.

  18. #18 Michelle |

the site is working without a hitch now

Hey Goob…….. wheres this at?!!! Goob says …. “I’m whipping up a calendar feature that I’ll roll out this week ” See and I forgot about it!

If you’re having problems getting thru, go to their home page first and then to the paint promo. This worked for me no problem. They have TONS of colors to choose from. Says paint will arrive in 3-4 weeks. Thanks.

  21. #21 Jean |

I got through to the website no problem, but when I picked my paint and filled out the order form it said I had already gotten my free quart. Not so.

No time today, but will call their customer service tomorrow. I’m disappointed. I normally use a different brand and this promotion’s failure makes me more inclined to stick with the competition.

Jean, If you’re using a bogus phone it’ll tell you that. I had to actually use mine because 1234567890 was already sent one.

Went to the site today and Glidden said it was all “spoken for.” They offered a $5.00 mail in coupon instead. Not quite the same.

  24. #24 Pam Griffith |

Tried to order paint over past 2 days and could not get to website. Tonight I’m told they’ re out of free paint, but offered a $5.00 coupn instead. Is this false advertising or what? I don’t recall the advertisement saying quantities were limited, but I could be wrong. Very disappointed.

  25. #25 Pam Griffith |

Rechecked the ad and it does say “while quantities last”. So, I’m wrong but still disappointed. Apparently many, many people had trouble getting into the website.

Saw this on HGTV a few weeks ago, my paint came via FedEx, it arrived today!

  27. #27 Rochelle |

Never got my paint and I sent one to my neighbor to…what’s the deal with that?

  28. #28 Jean |

My paint came about 2 weeks ago, also via FedEx. Love it! Must have cost Glidden a fortune just in shipping costs. But there is that tricky plastic ring around the top of the can. Glidden had to send out a special email to explain how to get the ring off!
