These free Sundiwear stickers are pretty darn cool. You wear them outside and then they turn red after a certain amount of sunlight has hit them, thus letting you know it’s probably time to seek out shade or sunscreen. Too bad these things weren’t around when I was kid as I have a feeling they’re a bit more helpful than the method I always used. I’d spend a day outside playing with my friends and then wake up the next morning and go “huh, I got sunburned!”

When I moved to the midwest almost a year ago, the one thing I was excited about was the winters and seeing snow. Now, in the middle of June? The fact that I have to wear long sleeve dress shirts and/or all black every day really get so me and makes me feel over heated.

I sure can get a lot of things done whenever I’m the only person making decisions. Put somebody like me in charge and then we can finally get away with those annoyingly protracted “check and balance” procedures in the government.

I feel like I’ve taken the survey for this free Forbes magazine subscription a million times already. What is up with RewardsGold and wanting to know what MP3 device we have? If I’ve told them I use an iPod once, I’ve told them a million times. And yes, the top 3 played artists on it are The Jonas Brothers, Nickelback, and Oingo Boingo!

Speaking of random and extraordinarily interesting musical mixes, there’s this free Subpop summer sampler download.

However, I don’t know what’s better about this: the completely random tracklist, or the horribly mid-90′s style website with ASCII graphics, hot pink background and blue writing, and the dancing guitar graphics and popups. Its horrifically brilliant and a reminder of everything NOT to do with a webpage! Genius!

I’ll be honest. I haven’t been listening to as much music as I used to. Maybe its because I’ve been working on a new album, maybe its because I’ve heard Seether’s “Careless Whisper” cover and I’ve had Corey Hart’s “Sunglasses at Night” stuck in my head. Or maybe its because I made two references to U2′s The Joshua Tree yesterday and I got nothing but blank stares.

Needless to say, I think I need to raise my street cred and download this free mix from Nylon Magazine. Well, I guess it would raise if I actually knew any of these bands…
