Instore: Teacher Appreciation Day @ Staples

If you happen to be one of the legions of underpaid and under appreciated teachers out there, then perhaps this free gift bag at Staples as part of a Teacher Appreciate Event will help in the smallest way possible. Simply plug in your info to find out when your local Staples is holding their event (some are soon, most are in Aug.) and then be one of the first 100 teachers to show up on the special day to snag a bag.

I one time thought about becoming a teacher and thus long-term substituted for a while. Then I realized I wasn’t good at…uh…explaining things. Apparently one of the requirements to being a good teacher is that you have to be able to teach! Who would have thunk it?

Yup! I started at just under 40K and IF I have a job in the fall my masters will be done and I will be up to 72K! WOOHOO!!! Michigan is one of the top paying states for teachers. Something has to keep us here, it's certainly not the nice mild winters!

HUH? You make 60 grand?!? I make 40 here near Boston, and I work 10 months. No wonder why Detroit is going bankrupt, haha!I am also in the hole for another 13 grand to get my masters that is now mandatory. At 51 I don't think I will ever recoup that investment!

Shaynon, Speak for yourself...I make 60K for working 9 months out of the year. I LOVE this time of the year, I still find money appearing in my bank account every two weeks! Oh, wait...too bad I work for Detroit Public Schools and got laid off...AND they want to file for bankruptcy! Huh, anybody need a teacher that has 10 years experience!?!?!

well i could never be a teacher, i dont get along with smart alic kids or kids with bad mouths lol, so that leaves me out. matter of fact sometimes i dont get along with adults either lol
