Instore: Free Tea at Peets Coffee & Tea Today
I’ve never heard of Peets Coffee and Tea before. Not at all. But, then again, I had never heard of Espresso Royale before moving out to the midwest, so I guess its like someone from Seattle not knowing anything other than Starbucks!
Needless to say, apparently if you actually have a Peets Coffee and Tea near you–and not a licensed location–they’re giving away a free tea today between 2 and 3pm. And for everyone else who doesn’t know who or what this shop is, thankfully the link we’ve provided here has a store finder. Or, you can just go to their website and see their locations. Too bad I’ve got to work today and the Chicago stores are too far away…

Too bad it’s for only an hour. There promo department needs to work on better promotions. I like the McDonald’s promo on Monday. At least it’s longer than an hour.

Turns out there are a few near me!
Peet’s is owned by 2 of the original owners of Starbucks. They left when the other Starbucks owners wanted to go global and stopped caring about coffee quality. So Peet’s is all about the quality. It’s very good.
Peets is the best place for coffee; consistent, never too sweet! The Jasmine or Hibiscus tea coolers are the best!

Anyone who thinks that people in Seattle don’t drink anything but Starbucks coffee obviously haven’t been here. Haven’t you ever heard of Seattle’s Best or Tully’s (both originated in Seattle)? Personally I love Peet’s and there is one right by my apartment.
The bottom line….Seattle is all about coffee, not just Starbucks.
