Free eBooks Till August 4th
With just a little bit longer left in summer, there’s just enough time to make a few last road trips. And with just enough time left for those last few road trips, maybe your kids could finally get caught up on their reading lists, or tackle a few more classics so they feel smarter than their friends when they come back to school. Heck, I remember one summer when I read as many of the classic books that I could, just because I was told they were on a recommended reading list of around 120 books. Yup, I tackled about 60 of the suckers with the help of my public library.
Well, the always free Project Gutenberg is included with a few other sites in the fourth annual free eBook fair, with free downloads of over 2 million different eBooks! Fourth? Wow, where have I been the other three years?! Oh wait, that’s right, college made it where I didn’t want to actually “read” when I finished a semester…

LOVE this site. I’ve saved so much since I was turned on to this page.
not sure if I am missing something….I see where you have to join at $8.95 a year (a small pittance but it’s “not free”) or is there an area you click on where is IS free?
Hey Lori…
The site is normally that much. There’s a note on the page that says its free till August 4th.
Are there any real books on this site? If so, what are some good ones to look for? I couldn’t find anything I would want and I mainly saw government publications.
Oh boy! I don’t get it either! I see the note on free access but then it doesn’t seem like i’m able to browse or see books until I pay?? Please help!! Thanks!
Ok sorry! I got it, just took me a while to figure the site out.
Yeah Im with #4. Are there fictional books on this site? I cant find anything but publications.
