What a bizarre advertisement idea. It’s like Jack McFarland’s (you know, Just Jack! from Will & Grace) latest whim was to be an adman – and this is what he would have come up with.
Okay, MY idea for an ad for the stuff…..
You see the inside of an airplane…all calm – all of the sudden, it takes a nosedive, people screaming, total chaos – just as quickly, all is calm again. Repeat sequence, go to cockpit where the pilot has a cold and sneezes, pushing into the airplane steering wheel thing – you hear the screams from the back again….then the commercial announcer guy says something along the “I should have has a V-8″ line – I’m more visual…I need a good slogan….maybe something like “Never go airborne without Airborne”. Yeah Baby, That’s the one! Suck on that Sebastian!

I agree, a vitamin is a vitamin. I never spent money on it. And yah, they must be desperate to make sales. Appealing to those who like a hot male body, they will at least have visitors to their website. How does Sebastian relate to the product? He sure looks like he doesn’t have a cold or flu. How many Airbornes do I have to take to look like him? Or have him come to visit me? I’ve bookmarked their site, so I can return to check up on the creepy but fascinating kid. I’m an old lady. I can dream can’t I?

Yes I saw the news report too @Zach. They definitely could not back it up and I think thats where this free sample comes from. I did not believe it anyways when it came out. I think they must be doing really bad after all these reports attacking them.
I think Airborne knows who their target audience is, which is why they have Sebastian on the page lol

The company that produces Airborne just settled a huge class-action lawsuit for falsely claiming that its product prevents colds by falsely claiming that it boosted the immune system. My medical school professors actually used it as an example of the potential dangers in the unregulated supplement market and the interesting psychology of consumers who think there are tangible benefits to what are essentially placebos and are willing to actively go against MDs advice to stick to their unfounded belief. It was all over the nightly news and inter-webs, so you can read for yourself if you just google “airborne lawsuit.” All that being said, if you are just interested in a free vitamin supplement, go crazy, just know what you are putting into your bodies.
