Free Whip It Movie Screening on 9/26

Geez, what is with this Saturday and freebies? The free Whip It movie screening is the fourth freebie available tomorrow. I don’t usually post movie screenings, but this offer is available in a few dozen large cities. You can RSVP online, but I wasn’t able to as there aren’t any screenings in my tiny town. But feel bad for me, there’s plenty to do around here. Why just last week we got our third stop light! Some friends and I are gonna go watch it change colors tonight. Friday nights don’t get much better than that!

Here’s the movie trailer in case you haven’t seen any commercials for it yet.

Current Facebook Freebies

Facebook Freebies

The current list of Facebook Freebie are a bit thin, but there are some time-sensitive offers below that might be worth your while. And as always, if you’re not already a fan of Hey, It’s Free on Facebook, then what are you waiting for?

Carl’s Jr. – Click the “Get What You Deserve” tab, then click on the burger, and finally scroll down to find a coupon for a free small fries with the purchase of The Big Carl burger at regular price. There’s also a chuckle inducing video at the top of the page staring Leon from Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Facebook Ads – So far Chick-fil-A, Burt’s Bees, and Texas Pete Hot Sauce have been confirmed as companies giving away freebies randomly throughout Facebook via their ads. More info can be found in this post.

Lettering Delights – They’re offering $10 in free product and there’s no minimum order plus you get free shipping! You can browse through their products on their website and the offer doesn’t expire until September 30, so you’ve got some time to pick what you want. Just to be clear, most of what they sell are downloadable fonts, graphics, and doodads that are used for scrapbooking.

*TODAY ONLY* Panda Express – You don’t even have to become a fan to get this coupon for a free SweetFire Chicken Breast entree. Like the bold today only text implies, this coupon is only valid for Friday, September 25.

Sara Lee Pre-Sliced Deli Meat – Become a fan and get a free $3 coupon. Some people say this is their favorite meat for sandwiches, but I think that’s bullocks. Everybody knows it’s too delicious to bother with putting in a sandwich!

Okay, so that was a pretty weak list, but it’s all I could find for this week.

IS: Free Clarins Skin Facial Treatment

This free Clarins Skin Facial Treatment at your nearest Lord & Taylors isn’t until October 22-24, but apparently space is limited, so you’ll want to register now. The advance notice is good for yours truly as it’ll give me plenty of time to figure out what in the heck this freebie actually is. Why is it called a “skin facial?” Can’t your just say “facial” or are there other types of facial treatments that completely ignore the skin? And if so, what in the world are they?!

Free Kotex Ultra Thin Overnight Pads

These free Kotex Ultra Thin Overnight Pads show up every few weeks at a different site. Geez, talk about narcissistic. Somebody needs a little love and attention, no? If this freebie were a member of the opposite sex, you’d make sure to lock your doors at night and change cell phone numbers every few weeks.

Make sure you select not to receive a free magazine trial of All You since you’ll probably get billed after the trial. However, if you’re interested in getting a subscription, Amazon sells a one-year subscription for $19.95, which is only $1.66/issue. Since each magazine has dozens of coupons in it, you end up getting the issue for free after using only one or two coupons.

Free National Parks Admission on 9/26

In honor of National Parks Day and the new Ken Burns film that start this weekend, the National Park Service is offering free admission to all 391 national parks this Saturday, September 26. I probably won’t be able to participate, but I did the next best thing last night; I spent an hour on the NPS site and read about a few dozen parks. Sure, it’s not the same as actually visiting, but it has significantly fewer mosquitoes and poison ivy patches.

If you’re not sure where your nearest park is, then this might help.

Coupon: Free Mars Candy Bar

There are events from the past century that, when they occurred, are seared into the minds of anybody who experienced them. Pearl Harbor. Landing on the Moon. And now, dare I say, the final free Mars candy bar coupon day? I think so.

I’ll never forget what I was doing when I realized this was the final week. It was five minutes ago and I was busy cleaning the grape jelly that had dripped off my bagel and onto me pajamas. Probably not the best moment to remember for one’s entire life, but it’s all I’ve got to work with here.

Free Honey Bunches of Oats @ Walmart

Walmart currently has Honey Bunches of Oats cereal on sale for $2. If you use this free $2/1 printable coupon, then it’s free! Make sure you turn your speakers down before printing out the coupon as they have an autoplay video that’s highly annoying.

True story: as a kid, I used to think this cereal was for horses since it had “oats” in the title. For the life of me, I couldn’t understand why my parents kept buying it. I was certain they were either hiding a horse somewhere in the backyard or secretly evolved horses that somehow took over my parent’s bodies.

Free Safety Around Dogs Video

Umm…folks, we’ve got a problem here. The very first sentence on the site for this free Safety Around Dogs video states “Children and dogs go together like peanut butter and jelly.” I hate to ask, but I think somebody needs to. Who’s eating children and dog sandwiches? Isn’t this sort of, maybe, potentially a crime and worth looking into? Why are we being so nonchalant about our nations dwindling children and dog population? Am I the only person worried here?

The video is designed for children in grades K-6 and is offered to teachers, librarians, youth group leaders, animal control officers, animal shelters, veterinarians and community and civic leaders. In order to get it, simply e-mail orderdesk@akc.org and include your name, school or affiliation (for example, the Boys and Girls Club), mailing address and daytime phone.

Free Discover Texas & Kate Walsh Albums

I have to say, I’m enjoying all the free music that Amazon is giving away. I’m not even a big country music fan, but I went ahead and downloaded this free Discover Texas Music: volume 1 album. Then I picked up this free Kate Walsh Acoustic EP. The three songs on her album are $0.99 individually, but free if you download the entire album, so…that makes sense? Something tells me whoever set those prices didn’t quite think it all the way through.

Free Museum Admission on 9/26

I don’t want to toot my own horn,1 but we’ve had a gargantuan list of museums that offer free admission for over a year now. So pardon me if I don’t get too excited about the Free Museum Day on Saturday, September 26. Sure, the list of participating museums is impressive, but don’t let me influence your opinion. I get impressed easily. I once saw a dog wearing sun glasses and then spent 10 minutes begging for his autograph.

If you want to see what museums in your area are participating, then have at it.

  1. Okay, that sounds kinda bad. []
