IS: Free Jack In The Box Sandwich on 10/20
EDIT: They changed the fine print to say that this offer is only valid in the Seattle area.
If you don’t mind purchasing a large drink, you can get a free Jack In The Box grilled sandwich on Tuesday, October 20. This is a promotion through Jack’s Secret Society of Cool People and Holy Crap, this is the best freebie ever. Are you telling me that if I get this freebie, I’m not only in a secret society, but also officially cool? To heck with working today, I’m gonna go camp out in front of my local Jack to make sure I’m the first person in line!
[via Coupon Cravings - thanks!]

Awesome, thanks Goob!
Note: The fine print says “participating restaurants in the Seattle area only.”
Aw man, they just added that to the fine print then. That wasn’t there this morning.
Damn! I was looking forward to my free samwich!
I hate those darn tiny prints. I was looking forward to my free sanwich tomorrow, but I guess I won’t now.
Yes! Thats because us Seattle-ites are fantastically awesome!
Man.. That Bites. I was looking forward to getting a free sandwich on my birthday
If you copy and paste the offer to Microsoft Word, you can delete the last 2 sentences – - “Available at participating Seattle/Tacoma locations. Excludes Vancouver, WA.” You can even change the availability to your own town.
Just print it out.
It’s not the ethical thing to do, but I’m going to try and use my revised copy at a San Jose location.
Shame on you Marcy!
- Your Jack in the Box won’t get reimbursed from the corporate offices if you do that! Some one could even get fired. Thats considered a forgery. You are just going to have to accept that you are not a member of the “cool people”.
Marcy, setting ethics aside, that’s called coupon fraud. Coupon fraud is a felony. Here’s some info copy & pasted Coupon Mom’s forum:
What are the penalties for coupon fraud?
Penalties for those convicted of coupon fraud related crimes vary by each case and the number of laws violated.
As of this date,
Longest prison sentence: 17 years
Highest financial penalty: $5 million
Prison sentences of three to five years are not uncommon. Financial penalties generally vary, but have often been in excess of $200,000.
What are the chances of conviction?
Each case is unique and defendants must be considered innocent until proven guilty.
However …
Not one defendant has been acquitted in a CIC related coupon fraud case since operations began in 1986. (they have never lost a case )
So, Marcy, and anything thinking about taking her advice, think long and hard about how much that free sandwich is worth to you.
Hi Tracy – no shame here – I lost my *moral compass* years ago. The company is actually profiting on this deal by making cosumers purchase a LARGE over-priced drink to get this deal.
Well, Marcy, if it makes you feel any better, you can watch me eat my free sandwich!
Tracy, you’re so thoughtful, haha.
I don’t think we even have this sandwich in my area.
Seriously, I can’t imagine risking prison time and/or that kind of fine over a free sandwich.
Hi Ginger – thanks for the info – however, my *moral compass* is still
irretrievable.
mmmm…nom nom…one last post on this subject…nom…this sandwich is good…I thought about Marcy and Ginger when I ordered my sandwich…nom nom…I found out some info for all you non- Seattle hiffers….mmmm….Jack in the Box is trying out these sandwiches in our area first to decide if it is a sandwich they want to keep on the menu permanently….nom nom nom…so pretty soon you can have your own free sandwich when it comes to your town…mmmm…maybe I should post this comment after Marcy tries to order a sandwich that doesn’t exist in her area…she may be embarrassed….I am a member of the cool people society fer sure…nom nom…
