IS: Free Jack In The Box Sandwich on 10/20

EDIT: They changed the fine print to say that this offer is only valid in the Seattle area.

If you don’t mind purchasing a large drink, you can get a free Jack In The Box grilled sandwich on Tuesday, October 20. This is a promotion through Jack’s Secret Society of Cool People and Holy Crap, this is the best freebie ever. Are you telling me that if I get this freebie, I’m not only in a secret society, but also officially cool? To heck with working today, I’m gonna go camp out in front of my local Jack to make sure I’m the first person in line!

[via Coupon Cravings - thanks!]

Free Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent

EDIT: This is no longer available.

It’s been a while since we’ve had a laundry freebie, huh? I remember they were one of the most popular types of freebies when I started HIF over three and a half years ago. That was back when I had to walk uphill to my mailbox three miles away and when I went back inside. It was a geographical oddity to say the least. I probably shouldn’t have taken such a circuitous route…

But whatever, this free Seventh Generation laundry detergent will help me relive the good ol’ days. Now where’s my rotary phone and fedora hat?! I need to call the operator and see when the next talkie is playing!

105 Free Disney Reward Points

Disney has a free rewards program where you find and enter codes that earn you points which can be redeemed for prizes. We have a thread on the forums where we’re beginning to collect any codes we find, but to get everybody started, here are five codes that collectively will earn 105 points:

  1. TINA – worth 20 points
  2. GOBLOON – worth 30 points
  3. GRAVEYARDS – worth 40 points
  4. EN9FNF93N2 – worth 5 points
  5. LIGHT – worth 10 points

If you happen to know of any valid codes, please feel free to join up on the forums and post them in the Disney thread.

Reminder: Clear Your Cache

I’m still getting a few daily e-mails from people who are stuck seeing the September 24th version of the site (remember back when I broke HIF? Yeah, those were the days…)

Anyway, if you’re reading this here on HIF and have been seeing new posts recently, then you’re clearly not suffering from the glitch. This is more for Hiffers reading this on Twitter, Facebook, the newsletter, etc.

In case you missed the first post I made, here is how you fix the problem and start getting the new freebies to show up on the site!

  1. Clear your browser’s cache. It takes 15 seconds and instructions for most browsers can be found at that link.
  2. Close your browser.
  3. Finally, reopen your browser, go to HIF, and press CTRL+R (for Windows) or CMND+R (for Mac).

That should do it! Sorry again for the hassle.

Coupon: Free Happy Baby Organic Food

There’s a coupon available for a free Happy Baby Organic Food product. I don’t have a baby and doubt I can get one before the 11/10/09 expiration date, but if you happen to already have one and live near a store that carries this product, you’re all set.

Free PETA Stickers for Kids

Oh man, not these again! My sister has these free PETA stickers for kids and every time I go home, I have to see them and be reminded of how cute animals are. You know, it’s really hard to eat meat when you’re constantly being reminded of where it comes from. I enjoy my ignorance and would appreciate it if I could continue believing in the Meat Fairy, which is where all delicious food comes from obviously.

Free Baseball Digest Subscription

EDIT: Multiple Hiffers are now reporting that this offer is no longer available :(

This free Baseball Digest subscription is just in time as my old subscription just expired. Speaking of baseball, we’re at a fairly precarious point in the sporting season. We’re mere weeks away from the long wait until spring training and unless your football team is any good, there’s nothing to watch during the winter. I’m serious, I think hibernation is the way of the future. Just imagine it: the World Series ends, you go to sleep, and you wake up just before opening day. You skip all of the cold months and you don’t have to pretend to be interested in hockey or basketball!

Free Red Gold Tote Bag in Midwest

If you live in the nine states below (not all of them, just one), then you can get a free Red Gold tote bag. I wasn’t able to sign up since I’m on the east coast, but I figure some of the Hiffers in the middle of the country might be able to put this to good use.

Oh yeah, the valid states. IL, KS, MI, MN, MO, OH, OK and WI or as I call them collectively, ilksmimnmoohokwi. It sounds just like it looks.

460+ Free Audio Books

Audiobooks.net is offering over 460 free audio books to anybody who wants to download them. I have a rather lengthy road trip coming up soon, so hopefully I’ll be able to put some of these to good use and not go mad with boredom. Not to be confused with going mad with anger, which is actually kind of fun as long as there are nearby objects you can punch.

You have to sign up for a free account, but there’s no software to download. Just log in and start downloading whatever you want.

IS: Free Trident Gum at Walgreens

Walgreens currently has a sale going on where, when combined with some free printable coupons, you can get two free packs of Trident gum between now and the end of the month! First, there’s a free Trident Layers Gum coupon on HIF’s SS page for $1/2. Then, you also get $1 Register Reward when you buy two packs. So you pay $1 out of pocket today, but that $1 RR can be used on anything during your next visit, thus making the gum in effect free! Make sure you stick around for the $1 RR to print out though – I almost walked out of the store this afternoon without grabbing it.
