Free MacHeist Applications

For the third holiday season in a row, MacHeist is offering free applications for Mac computers, all of which normally would cost a pretty penny. Around 10% of Hiffers are on a Mac, so to those of you, enjoy! Currently, they’re offering the following pieces of software for free. I’ve also included what they’d normally cost:

  • ShoveBox – $25
  • WriteRoom – $25
  • Twitterrific – $15
  • TinyGrab – $14
  • Hordes of Orcs – $25
  • Mariner Write – $50
  • Virus Barrier – $70

Mariner Write will only become available if 500,000 total sign up before this round is over in the next three days. Virus Barrier is available only if you share MacHeist on your Facebook account. And finally, the Orc game is pretty darn fun, as the four hours of lost productivity yesterday can attest to.

Will there be a monthly or yearly subscription fee with any of these?

  5. #5 Goob |

No, all of them come with a registration code that unlocks the software for life. It’s as if you bought it.

I also got the message that it couldn’t be opened. Then tried my Mac and it worked perfect.

You will get that message if you try it on a “P.C” this link is for MAC users only. Finally!!! Thanks Goob!

I’m a Mac user, and the code for registration appeared to work fine on the Orcs game. The game won’t play at all now, and when I try to open it, all I get is contact the website.

As for the others, I’m not interested in any of them at all. They don’t seem to do anything that my system doesn’t already do better, and as far as Twitter, I don’t live online, I don’t Tweet, and I’m not a twit.
