Deal: Free Kleenex at Walgreens

walgreens-november-healthy-savings-booklet

Finally! I’ve had this darn post in the editing queue for almost 48 hours because I couldn’t confirm it to be legit, but I just got back from Walgreens with a bag full of Kleenex and my pockets only a few cents lighter.

Buy 3 boxes of Kleenex Facial Tissue @ $2.29 each.
Use $1/1 coupon from the November Healthy Savings Booklet (it’ll deduct $3).
Use $1.09 coupon found on the front page of their in-store ad.
Use $0.50/3 coupon from SmartSource.
Final price is free!

In actuality, all of the coupons save you $0.23 more than the Kleenex cost, so you’ll have to buy a cheap item like gum or candy. I picked up some peanut butter M&Ms, which cost $0.89 and yet I only paid $0.84 for everything :) My in-store ad also had a Reese’s coupon for $0.49, but I didn’t see it until I got home.

I used the coupons in the order listed above and it worked fine for me. If you think your local store may give you trouble, might I suggest having a look at our Corporate Coupon Policy post?

The photo above shows what I had trouble with. My local Walgreens only had the booklet on the right, however the Kleenex coupon is only in the booklet on the left. Figures. This evening I swung by a Walgreens a few miles away and wouldn’t you know, they were slam-packed with the Healthy Savings Booklet I needed!

Liz, Send an email to Walgreens and ask for a copy of their policy. It states that Walgreens accepts ONE manufacturer coupon and ONE Walgreens coupon. Take the policy to your Walgreens store and show it to the manager. I did this and now have no more problems. :)

My Walgreens never lets me use two coupons for one product. They say that I can only use one coupon per product and that it doesn't matter if the coupon was a "sticky peel off" type or not. Sucks.

I went to two walgreens and both stores had the November coupon book in their store, but neither coupon book had kleenex coupons in them. :-(

Since I had a few of those coupons left that I found on a Kleenex display (giving me a free box of tissues when I purchased 3) I went back and got more. I got [4] 85-count boxes of Ultra Soft tissues, 2 bottles of Ocean Spray, and Walgreens brand hand sanitizer for .13 [cents]! The cashier told me I could purchase more tissues/Ocean Spray if I'd like in a seperate order but everyone took the peelies off the bottles! :o( I've gone back a few times to take advantage of the offer so needless to say I now have a year's supply of tissues! paige - You needed to purchase the "Ultra Soft" tissues or the regular ones in the 100 count box. Now, somewhere in this site (I've seen it I just don't remember where) Walgreen's coupon policy is posted. You are allowed to use the circular coupon (which I was told technically is not a coupon for whatever reason) as well as another Walgreens coupon, and a manufactorer's coupon. If the cashier gives you any problems, you just call the manager over.

You can get FREE Ocean Spray cranberry juice (100% juice or cocktail drink) at Walgreens this week. It's on sale for $1.99. There's a $1 off coupon in the monthly sale booklet in the front of the store. There's also a $1 peel-off coupon on the bottles. You will need to buy one small item because they end up paying you one cent to take them. I got 49-cent Reese's peanut butter cups using the coupon in the weekly sale flyer. Woo hoo! Limit 2 per visit, but nothing stops you from coming back in the store to get more, well, except for an empty shelf.

ok. I went to Walgreen's and they had the 2 different healthy savings coupon books. One was up front and one near the pharmacy. However...the Kleenex coupon in the healthy savings book says that it is only good on the boxes with only 85 tissues AND it says it is NOT VALID WITH ANY OTHER OFFER. Soooooo, I used the SmartSource coupon and the Walgreen's coupon in their weekly flyer and got 3 boxes of tissues (100 tissues per box) at basically $.92 per box. Better than nothing, (better than $2.39/box) but not free. And I got a Heath bar. :)

edit last post ***who can find it***

Cheapsk8 - I have 2 Walgreens in my area; the first one I went to did not have the booklet, in fact they had no clue what I was talking about. The second Walgreens did have it - as mentioned before it is the Healthy Savings one on the left. If you cannot find it in the front of the store by the circulars, check the pharmacy. Ask a manager, you may find one who kind find it in their heart to help you locate one. <------Insert sarcastic tone ;o)

My Walgreens people do the same thing!! But they told me, it is because they are jealous of us awesome couponers!!

Where do you get the healthy savings book? My Walgreens only had the booklet shown on the right of your picture, and there was no Kleenex coupon there. I've noticed the same thing about some Walgreens cashiers. Like it's coming out of their pocket or something. Fortunately, there are also ones who give helpful information and offer to ring stuff up a certain way so you get the most benefit.

Woohoo! Thanks for posting this! I got an awesome deal; I used the 2 Walgreens coupons (1 from the booklet, 1 from the circular) and found a Buy 3 Get 1 Free coupon on a Kleenex display. In all, I got for boxes of Kleenex Ultra Soft tissues and a pack ob Orbit gum (needed it as a filler) for .65! Now tell me this? Why do employees get so "pissy" when us bargain hunters get such a good deal?! The cashier actually told me that she couldn't sell me all of the merchandise for .65. The Asst. Man. came over and was none too pleased with me either but gave me the price anyhow. I'm shocked at how I was able to maintain my cool. Does this ever happen to anyone else?!

You can use 2 diff Walgreens coupons if they have different barcodes.

How is it that they let you use two different walgreen's coupons?
