Free Mariani Dried Plums

Well here’s a first. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten a plum, let alone free Mariani dried plums via Sam’s Club. Hopefully these don’t try to kill me. The only plum I’ve ever encountered was a professor and he was always trying to beat me over the head with a candlestick in the kitchen.

Make sure you enter the code SUPERFRUIT when prompted.

  5. #5 KFM |

Funny, because Sam’s calls them prunes, but Mariani decided to go with “dried plums”

I just got through. How funny when they tell you to enter the promo code and then tell you to try again and make sure it’s all in caps. I think it said they arrive in 7-10 days. That’s why they call them superfruit. They move faster than other freebies. :)

Wow, that was a lot of windows to move through . . . whenever I got an error message, I tried it again and it would work the second time. Don’t give up the first time!

    A fancy name for prunes!

  16. #16 Cheapsk8 |

In 2000, the prune people realized that “prunes” had a negative image (think old people and “laxative properties”) and spent $10 million dollars to promote the “new” name – dried plums and image. Their ads featured younger and more active people. I don’t care what they’re called if they’re FREE. Actually, all prunes start out as a specific type of plum (our farm stands call them prune plums, but they probably have some latin name). I’ve bought some dried plums and they’re *amazingly similar* to the old prunes.

I am not a plum fan. But I like the cartoon girl in the ad.

  18. #18 Gina |

hardy! har! ha! They are prunes, which happen to be good for you. Or at least for the old digestive tract.
