Free Screening of Hot Tub Time Machine

Free Hot Tub Time Machine Movie Screening

There are the usual large cities for the free screening on Hot Tub Time Machine next month, but they’re running this promotion in a ton of smaller cities (Norfolk, Fresno, Grand Rapids) that normally aren’t included.

No word yet if we’ll be allowed to take a spin in the hot tub if the movie stinks.

Free Kashi Food

Free Kashi Samples

EDIT: All good things must come to an end.

Oh, no. Kashi’s latest free food offer has three different freebies to chose from, which are:

GOLEAN Crisp! Toasted Berry Crumble cereal
TLC Dark Chocolate Coconut Fruit & Grain bar
GOLEAN Crunch! Honey Almond Flax cereal

I’m horrible at making decisions. You know that guy who stands in the cereal isle for forty minutes before timidly grabbing a box of Cheerios? Yeah, that’s me. There’s no way I get to bed before sunrise now.

Free PopChips

Free Popchips

EDIT: I think we deserve an award for being able to take down a freebie so fast.

Do the makers of these free popchips expect us to send samples to three of our friends without putting ourselves as one of the “friends?” I mean, when you think about it, have I no better friend than myself? I share my dessert, I’ve always got my back in a fight, and I make quite the wingman. Although the split-personality disorder kind of freaks people out.

Free Esquire Magazine Subscription

Free Esquire Magazine Subscription

EDIT: It looks like this is no longer available.

I almost feel bad offers like this free subscription to Esquire magazine. A portion of the Amazon equal in size to Connecticut has probably been razed thanks to all of the free magazines we get.

That’s why I propose we all give something back to Mother Nature. There are plenty of ways to do so, but I’m planning on burying a few old Esquire and GQ editions in my backyard so that they will one day sprout into new trees. Isn’t the circle of life a wonder?

Free Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinic on 01/23

Free Lowe's Build To Grow Clinic

It’s time for yet another free Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinic this Saturday, January 23, from 10-11am. They’ll build a Tic Tac Toe set, which will be a tad frustrating for anybody who stinks at TTT as much as I do. The first time I played, I somehow caused a checkmate before crowning my king.

As usual, space is limited, so you’ll want to register on-line beforehand.

Free Victoria’s Secret Scented Tattoo

I must say vindication has never tasted so delicious. People always made fun of my desire to smell their tattoos, but this free Victoria’s Secret scented tattoo only proves there’s more people out there like me!

We’ll really be in business once flavored tattoos hit the market.

EDIT: I completely blanked and forgot to mention that this is an in-store freebie.

Try Your Luck Thursday: 01/21/10

I’m starting a new series called Try Your Luck Thursday, where I’ll list some on-going contests that I’m privy to. Some of the better contests I found this morning include:

  • Each day for the next 23 days, one of Pampers Facebook fans will win free diapers for a year. Ends 2/13.
  • Once a day, you can enter Betty Crocker’s Great Cereal Giveaway to try and win a free box of cereal. Ends 5/13.
  • 1 in 20 will win a coupon for a free jar of Pace salsa. The best part is that you can play each day through 7/31 and you can win up to five times.
  • Garnier is sponsoring a prize that contains an all expenses paid trip for 2 to the American Idol Finale, VIP makeovers, a chance to meet an Idol “star” and tons of Garnier Fructis products. Ends 4/30.
  • Finally, ESPN and Shell gasoline are giving away free gas for a year, valued at $1,844. Ends 3/26.

But there are plenty more. Like tons more. I could spend 10 hours on this post and wouldn’t have scratched the surface. However, I’ve added 20 additional contests below and am inviting any of you to add some as well. To do so, simply do the following:

Free Nicorette 20 Count Starter Kit

Free Nicorette 20 Count Starter Kit

If you’ve been thinking about punting cigarettes, register here then sign up for a free 20 count starter kit of Nicorette gum. The extra step is a bit of a pain, but the freebie is valued at $10, so it’s worth it.

I just realized that Nicorette is a combination of nicotine and cigarette. I wonder if other companies follow that pattern. Let’s see. Gillette: gilled gazette. Triscuit: tricky biscuit. Kinkos: kinky hoes?

Yeah, I don’t think this is panning out.

Free Betty Crocker $10 Coupon Booklet

Free Betty Crocker $10 Coupon Booklet

My 2010 Eat Better America calendar came in the mail this week and it’s full of recipes that I want to try, so hopefully this free Betty Crocker $10 coupon booklet will help in lowering the overall cost.

While we’re talking about the calendar, did anybody notice that most of the “healthy recipes” were for desserts?

Free NASA Space Shuttle Engine

Free NASA space shuttle engine

My dream of one day conquering a distant planet took a giant leap forward today when I discovered that anybody can stroll over to NASA and get a free space shuttle engine.

Can’t scrape together nearly $29 million, but still want a taste of outer space? You can now get an actual engine from the shuttle for free, as long as you cover the costs of moving and housing the eight-foot-diameter, four-ton behemoths. The AP reported on Saturday that NASA tried to sell them for $400,000 to $800,000 apiece in December 2008, but got no offers and is now literally giving them away.

Four tons is nothing. I’ve been eating Wheaties for a few weeks and recently stepped up my workout weights from two to five pounds. I’m more worried about my space suit. As of now, the only thing I have is an old rain jacket with two giant trash bags duct taped to the bottom.
