Freebies and free stuff

Remember the RecycleBank magazine freebies I posted yesterday? Well, there’s a way you can actually get more than just one subscription! Head over to Kashless and create a free account. You’ll then want to link your RecycleBank account to it by clicking on the “Rewards” tab. Finally, click on “Saved Searches” and start, you guessed it, saving some searches. You’ll get 10 points for up to 30 searchs, so all told you can get 300 free points that will carry over to your RecylceBank account!

It takes while for the points to transfer (I’m still waiting) and linking the two accounts seems to work best if you use the same e-mail on both sites. I linked to all of the free magazines I could find yesterday, but they do have a boatload of coupons available for places you may regularly shop at. It might be worth it to look through the prizes section for a coupon you might enjoy.

There’s something about me and office supplies, like this free Uniball Super Ink pen. The first, and only, thing I stole as a kid was a pack of pens. Not candy, not a video game, but pens. I don’t even know why I stole them! Just think, I might have become a life-long hardened criminal had I also grabbed those neon pencil erasers I had my eyes on.

They’re giving away 10,000 pens every day starting at noon CST, so set an alarm to remind yourself!

Also, I found this offer over the weekend and immediately saw a million red flags. I probably spent two hours total hunting down who exactly was behind it. However, Uniball’s official Twitter feed mentioned the offer this morning, so that’s enough to convince me it’s legit.

If you’re as big an Olympic geek as I am, you’ll probably enjoy this free Vancouver Olympics 2010 journal. You can’t actually sign up for it now, but instead reserve a spot to get an e-mial with shipping details on Feb. 1st.

It’s probably the closest I’ll ever come to being an actual Olympian. I thought about spending years training for the Bobsled team, but then I remembered I get winded while walking to my mailbox every afternoon.

If you sign up with Recycle Bank, your account will be credited with 100 points. Luckily, that’s enough to immediately cash out for a prize! Is it safe to assume that if I use this coupon for a free Einstein Bros bagel, that I’ll become as smart as the titular reference? I could use the extra brainpower to figure out how in the world to fix my dish washer. I first noticed a problem when I couldn’t locate my refrigerator through the sea of bubbles.

If not, I’ll settle for his crazy hair.

KMart currently has a 4/$6 sale on General Mills cereal, which is a decent deal in and of itself. However, if you stack coupons on top, you can get the cereal for much cheaper. Some current GM coupons available include:

• $1/1 General Mills (IE) (FF) (works for Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cocoa Puffs, Lucky Charms, and Trix)
• $1/2 Cheerios – This works for any Cheerios brand.
• $1/1 Cheerios
• $1/1 Trix
• $1/1 Cheerios (again)
• $1/1 Trix (again)
• $1/2 Chex – This works for any Chex brand. – It doesn’t look like this is showing up any more.

Obviously, you can’t use more than four coupons since you’re only buying four boxes of cereal, but feel free to mix and match the coupons above and any you might have to lower the price as far as you can. Just using the coupons above, you could buy a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Trix, Honey Nut Cheerios and Cheerios for a final result of 4/$2.

I tried to get a Random Coupons post up today, but things kind of fell apart on me, so I’m cannibalizing the good offers for posts tonight. Doing so brought back memories of hunting for electronics in my high school shop class’ warehouse. Everyone else wasted their time building a silly computer while I focused on constructing a robot with laser eyes, machine-gun fingers, and programming to tuck me into bed at night. Ultimately the school board intervened and yada yada, I still have to warm up my own milk every night. Robot engineering is all politics these days.

Talk about a smooth segue into free milk! If you buy two gallons of white milk, you can use this coupon to get a free half gallon of chocolate milk. It’s limited to the first 125,000 people and should work with any brand.

I like to think of HIF as a place where I can share my experiences and save others from going through anything similar. In order to get your free Celestial Tea, you have to become a fan on Facebook and take a short quiz beforehand. But it’s totally worth it for some space tea.

I can always count on two things every morning: the start of a new day and renewed battle with my inbox. For every 30 emails I answer, I get 50. Even my liberal usage of the delete key doesn’t seem to help. I honestly believe that if I took a month hiatus from email, my computer would explode when I next opened my mail program.
