65 Free RecycleBank Points

Free Recycle Bank Points

Remember RecycleBank? It’s a program that gives points for recycling that can be exchanged for prizes. They’re still expanding and chances are they don’t have a program set up in your area yet. However, they still allow anybody to join up and start earning points immediately!

If you use code RECYCLEYOURMAGS, you’ll get 15 points. Then if you click the “My Account” tab and look at the right side of the page, you should see a banner to join the eBay Green Team. Click it and you’ll get an additional 50 points. These points alone won’t be enough to get your a nice prize or coupon, but like the Huggies and Pampers programs, I’ll probably start posting any codes I come across so that we can all start saving up for the good stuff.

[thanks Karen]

I can't say enough good things about recyclebank.com. I live in a participating city so each week my recycling bin gets weighed and I get points for each pound of recycled goods. I have accumulated thousands of points and earned gift cards at popular stores for doing something I would have done anyways. I think the program is an awesome idea and it probably encourages people who normally do not recycle on a regular basis to start recycling. If you do not live in a participating city (one that weighs your recyclable for points), there is still a way to accumulate points quickly. You can switch your energy provider to Green Energy Plus. You get 3,000 points after 2 months of being a Green Energy customer and you get a point for each dollar you spend on electricity each month. Recyclebank.com has a link to sign for Green Energy Plus.

it still wont let me register anyone else had this problem

Woo hoo! I got a free year of Good Housekeeping, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, and Redbook magazines! I love free stuff! =)

You still get points for your first saved search on Kashless, I didn't get any points for a second search but I didn't go farther than that. They are having some issues transferring points so be patient. http://kashless.org/home/2010/02/kashless-points-transferring-to-recyclebank.html This is the second RecycleBank points that we've been given by Goob so I'm hoping for more. I'd LOVE to do the curb side recycling but it's not in my area :(

used my 105 sign up points to get free dish liquid and cat food......since points are harder to come by now on this site and kashless, i decided to cash out and take the freebies ...and run!!!!!!!!!!!!..lol

For some reason it wont let it go through when I try to sign up, am I doing something wrong is it just down?

The Green Team link is under the "Earn Points" tab. Also, Kashless changed their rewards system so that saved searches no longer gets you points :(. Sucks, but I guess they got tired of giving away tons of stuff for free *sniff*. Recyclebank is a "rewards based" incentive program to get people to "go green". You can get points with them for doing things like recycling your old cell phones, joining the E-bay Green team, etc. Curbside pick ups are only valid in (I think) like 20 states or something like that thus far. I have gotten many an awesome coupon from this site (before Kashless changed their rewards system), and I love it. If you get your 40 points for joining and your 50 points for joining the E-bay Green team you DO have enough points to request a free coupon for Kashi Cereal (was 50 points), um...Seventh Generation Dishsoap (50 points), or Seventh Generation Baby Wipes (75 points). Just go to "Get Rewards" and then click on "Food and Grocery" to access the coupons available. I hope that information helps (I ended up getting an e-mail from someone from Recyclebank a couple of weeks ago, so no I'm not working for them on the sly or anything...I'm just more knowledgeable thanks to the e-mail *laugh*).

Anyone like to explain the site? Sounds cool.

i clicked on my account and i cant find anything say about joining ebay green team . where do i find it.

I'm already a member there. I will have to try this. Our neighborhood has curbside recycling. I was able to get a $15.00 gift certificate to the mall. :)

it wont let me sign up said they were having problems and to try back later have already tried three times today any one else have this problem love your site goob

Probably the coolest thing I found on RecycleBank is a free month of BookSwim.com for 100 points. That's like Netflix for books. So excited!!! P.S. You can rack up 400 points for signing up with Kashless.com like Josey mentioned and linking your accounts. That's 4 months I don't have to take my lazy self to the library. SMH :)

When I signed up I ordered some coupons with my points, and I received my coupons in the mail soon after.

I signed up for this last year, & during registration they gave enough points for a coupon; I still have not received the coupon.

Wow this site is great, loving the cvs 4 off 20 Q. Thanks Goob!

I will not let me sign up. I put in my address and it asks me to validate it. I click all over that little box and nothing. Anyone else run into this? Does this just mean it's not in my area??

I got the same Jon 105 and in the same situation, I am not sure how to get more points and I not even know how to check is I can get points for recycle I do not have a bin and Iam not sure if apartment complex can participate... oh well let see if Goob get some head up for us :)

@Jon - If you sign up for an account with Kashless.com (follow the link on the earn points page of recyclebank) and set up saved searches, you get 20 points for your first and 10 for each additional (up to 10 or 20 searches - don't remember what the limit is).

I got myself and my mother signed up. I see you can get points for your recycling pick up to but I'm not sure if it covers my area. I'll have to check it out. Also, you can check the box for the ebay green team when you sign up to get the 50 points as well. Thanks goob.. I love this stuff.

I got the 65 points along with an additional 40 points as a registration bonus. 105 is a good way to start out, but I'm still having trouble understanding how to earn additional points. I guess I'll just wait for Goob to post more codes.
