Free Kids Home Depot Workshop (March 6)

At this weekend’s free Home Depot kids workshop (Saturday, March 6), they’ll be making free rain gauges, which can double as snow gauges. I won’t be able to attend, but I did the next best thing and built my own. I put an old bucket up against my house and at the very top wrote “&*#$ TON.” There we go, that should cover this year’s snow fall.
The workshop is available to kids 5-12 and runs from 9am-noon. Call your local store to make sure they are participating.

Will it measure the melting snow?
COME ON SPRING!
Every Home Depot has this workshop on the first Sat. of EVERY month! Plus, Lakeshore Learning stores have FREE crafts for kids EVERY Saturday & lowes has kids crafts on the 2nd & 4th saturday of each month. I take my kids every saturday to do these FREE projects! It a great activity to do on saturday late morning/afternoon & did I mention its FREE- YAH!!!!!!!
Oh, did I mention you can go to each stores website for the nearest one & they’ll show you what activity is being done & with lowes you can pre-register online ( with lowes I recommend showing up as soon as the workshop opens as sometimes a whole boyscout troup will show up & they say they the crafts are limited to the first 50 people, but hey last week my local LOWES had enough for 109 kids that showed up)
Lows sucks
The rain gauges are nice/cute. I’m curious to see how accurate it’ll be since there is an ‘overhang’ from the ‘roof’ but we’ll see what happens. Our H.D. also handed out the project from last month to the “regulars” b/c they didn’t have the workshop due to massive snowfalls, closed roads, etc.
