Free August Mixtape from SPIN Magazine

When I used to have a subscription to SPIN magazine, I used to get really frustrated. You see, when you have the subscription? All of those cool bonus CDs and junk the magazines come with at the checkout? Aren’t there. That should be a crime, if you ask me. I mean, I shell out however much for them to send me the sucker and then I’d have to pay more to get the same thing, just to get a free sampler CD of songs that I’d probably never listen to again? Unfair!

But now, SPIN, you’ve made my life easier with your free downloadable August sampler. Yes. Now I have worthless MP3s to push aside and laugh at! Ha!

The nice thing about the Spin subscription, though, is that it is dirt cheap… and they like to send it to you for about two-to-three years after you let the subscription expire.

In my experience, anyway. My one-time subscription was $15 well spent for nearly 4 years of mediocre music journalism!

Are we still in the 80′s? I’m not sure i own a device that can play a tape. Maybe I’m missing something :)
