Reminder: Free Jose Cuervo Items
The free Jose Cuervo items from May have been a huge topic on HIF’s Facebook page lately, so I thought I’d make a reminder post on how to get them. First off, you’re supposed to text 1795 to 283-786 before signing up for any freebie. Do you have to do this? I can’t tell.
However, let’s say you sent the text message, got the link that’s above, and are ready to signup. Not so fast! The good freebies are the three items below and chances are you’ll only see them available late at night or early in the morning.
- Margarita Shakers
- Salt Rimmer
- Margarita Ball Mixer
If you don’t see any of those, then don’t sign up and try again later. You can sign up for something once per week through September 15. Also, it seems like they frequently change which states these aren’t available in. First it was TX and TN and now CA and VA seem to be having trouble.
They never have anything except music downloads and $5 coupon, which I am sure that my local liquor store will not take!
And I never have received anything from them from the last time!

yeah.. it’s a $5 mail in rebate.. not a coupon. And that’s all they had at least today.. i’ll get it.. i’m sure that my boyfriend will make it his goal to get that $5 back LOL
Went directly to website w/o texting months ago. Said I would receive glasses & shaker but never did, nor did I receive any email from them like others did???
i think all of us texans should protest!
Has anybody from Louisiana received anything? My only options are a music download or $5 coupon..

Tried this back in May, won, then received e-mails they were sorry but could not send my items. Tried again late July/early August and last week 2 Margarita balls were delivered to me– no texting involved. I’ve never seen a drop down for anything but the Margarita balls, the rebate and a music download. In fact its been the rebate and download only for the past 3 days. Go figure!

Why do these companies bother to have contests if they NEVER intend to send out the prizes??????

I signed up just a few weeks ago and had my husband do it as well. We just went to the site; didn’t text anything. We received 2 margarita balls in the mail Saturday. I’ve signed up for 3 or 4 more, too, plus the salt rimmers, and expect to see them in upcoming weeks. We’re in Iowa, and I usually only see the rebates and downloads, but when I get on around midnight and fill it all out, the drop down changes to include the margarita ball.
PS Someone on Facebook mentioned that the offer is void in some states because it’s illegal to mail any items relating to alcohol in those states, even if the package doesn’t contain actual alcohol. Dumb, but at least it’s a reason.
I’ve heard alot of people say to sign up at midnight because it turns over at that time, I’m up but just keep forgetting. So they must give out so many a day.
I think I sent in a text message once but I haven’t since. I have received all the items that I requested. I have never seen the margarita pitcher but I was able to get Margarita glasses. I just happen to go to the site early in the morning like around 1:30 am and saw the glasses. They are really nice and much larger than I expected. I also got the free music downloads, margarita shaker, and lots of margarita balls. These will be Christmas gifts for family members that are drinkers.
I got the shaker a while ago but haven’t been back since, I going to try for the glasses next.
I got the Shaker a few months ago. But it took forever for it to get here.
I signed up for I think the margarita pitcher, but I never received it. I did recently print the $5 rebate, considering a 750 ML bottle of Cuervo retails for $21.99 at the liquor store by me — this is a pretty good deal!! Now I just have to mail it in.
I always get the same options. I don’t want a rebate coupon, and I don’t need balls.
I also sent for shaker and salt rimmer months ago never got anything I think they do it to get our info so they send us junk mail!
I signed up back in May, got a confirmation email saying that I was going to get a pitcher, then in early July they sent an email saying there was a problem with their site when I registered and I could click on the link for a coupon. Guess they knew I’m not a drinker and wouldn’t take advantage of their “you’re not getting a pitcher but here’s your consolation prize” coupon. @#19 Joni – They haven’t sent me any junk mail or email.
I read all the comments, evidently the company doesn’t care that they don’t stand behind their advertisement..I also have never received anything from them, even though I signed up.
Ya I got emails saying they were sorry but they miscounted or something. Starting last week I started getting stuff. So far the count is at 8 margarita balls and 4 glasses. I did order the other stuff too but I think they were out so they just keep sending me the balls
What am I going to do with 8 balls? And I’m sure I’ll be getting more. I’ve been handing them out to friends

I’ve received everything I have order from Cuervo, except the pitchers that I requested last week.. Ordered the glasses 2 weeks ago, received those maybe a week after I ordered them.. guess it just depends on where you are. I’ve had NO problem and absolutely love the glasses.. that’s the best freebie

Went at 10pm Pacific time.. everything was available, messed up the code and in TWO minutes, they were down to only the margarita balls, glasses, $5 coupon or music download left
I went on at 11:50pm – nothing but coupons.
Went on at 12:05am – all three freebies were there.
picked the shaker, we’ll see what happens.

says select my giveaway option but there is nothing to selec it just says giveaway..Same every time I try and I’ve tried about 16 times in the pass few weeks from my phone and computer..any idea y?
@guy.. you have to fill in all of your info before it will show anything on the list.. that might help..
I signed up about a month or so for a Margarita Ball and about 1 1/2 weeks ago, it was delivered to my house. so at 1:40 am I registered for another one. Maybe the Margarita Ball is all the good things they are giving away now. No matter though, the first one is going to be for taking sweet tea on camping trips if I can find a cooler it will fit in. I’ve been receiving their stuff every week throughout the summer. I’ve gotten Margarita Balls, Margarita Glasses, Salt Rimmers, and Margarita Shakers. I’m still waiting on some Margarita Pitchers.

Yah… from this promo I got 4 Margarita Balls, they go for about $25 each on Ebay
i printed the 3$ coupon and the store i went to stat. bro already had a sale for i think 12$ so i applied my coupon and got a additional 3$ off. it worked well for me. thank you

Is the margarita ball the only cool giveaway anybody else is seeing these days? When was the last time the shakers were seen? I really wanted a shaker, but didn’t see this giveaway until recently.
So sad I missed out on lots of freebies. I ordered the ball, hopefully it comes.
Francina – I signed up for the shakers at 01:01 Eastern time. I think the good stuff goes quickly. I haven’t seen the glasses offered yet. I guess I need to be quicker.
Got the margarita ball. It’s a whole lot bigger than I expected! I donated it to our charity auction for United Way.
