Duke Energy is giving their users 15 free CFL lightbulbs which is nice for Duke Energy users and irritating for everyone else like me. I tested my luck and called my power company asking where I could pick up free light bulbs. They laughed and made a counter proposal of “pay your bill by tonight or we’re shutting off your power.” Well now where’s the fun in that?

Target revived their free samples page and is currently offering free Glad OdorShield trash bags with Febreze Freshness and Tide Original with Acti-Lift laundry detergent. They released these a few days ago but their site was bogged down until now.
Like most red-blooded males in our society, I grew up watching war movies and dreaming of becoming Rambo. As you can see that didn’t quite pan out. I can never find tape when I need it. Whenever I have to package something up, I can only find duct tape (which the post office hates you shipping with, mind you). Whenever I’m trying to tape closed a letter, I find box tape (right shade, wrong size), and whenever I’m looking to fix my broken refrigerator door, well, I guess maybe I’ll be lucky enough to have this free Scotch Blue painters tape on hand…

I won’t say that I get headaches, I just exist in one massive one. But that’s what coming home from working retail will do to you when you’ve got a flying ball of fur, running towards you not because they miss you but because its dinner time.

These free Nescafe Taster’s Choice available on Facebook remind me of Pixy Stix. For the first 15 years of my life all I ate was sugar, which helped found my deep seeded distrust of science. People kept saying nutrion this and vegetables that and yet they couldn’t explain why neither of my two childhood heart attacks killed me! I showed that stupid Food Pyramid who was boss.

There are only 9,526 free Zebra Z-Grip Daisies pens left in stock so I’m not going to dilly dally around thinking of a joke. Although I’m signing up for a zebra z-grip daisy pen which is laughable enough in and of itself.
Oh no, now there are only 8,838 left! These will be gone within minutes.
I think I’m the only person who gets worse at taking photos the more I take them. By week 60 I fully expect my thumb to be 90% of the photo.
This would have been a good haul for one week but I have to say it’s a tad average for two.
One of the things I’d like to do more of over my vacation is to just spend time doing inane fun things. Amidst the whole “sitting on my rear and clearing off my DVR” and the whole “reading Chelsea Handler’s books” and “jogging crazy long distances” and maybe even the whole “visit Amish country again just to get corn nuts,” I count bowling. Sure, its a fairly simple and everyday item, but when you have freebies like this two free bowling games at AMF Bowling Centers (after completing the survey, a printable coupon link appears), it further fuels its awesomeness.
Now I just need to find a nearby center…
Day 1 of my vacation from my real job and I feel like I was already going into work today with all of the things I have to rush and do around the house. Yup, a vacation from work isn’t a vacation from home, or from a busy life.
