Freebies and free stuff

With all of the free calendars that I’ve already requested this year, well, I’m still waiting on all of them. Sure, its only October, but it would be nice to have one waiting in the wings. I mean, I keep track of my jogs, my distances, my times… everything! And without one? I feel lost.

So that’s why I’m finally glad to see this free Oriental Trading Company 2011 calendar offer. As I look up across my desk? I’m staring at their 2010 calendar, and I trust that I’ll see this one fairly fast…

And once again, we go back around the merry-go-round with the revolving freebie door. Here’s another free Dove Ultimate sample, and this time its from Costco. I guess we should all be on the lookout for BJ’s, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and maybe even Popeye’s Chicken selling this.

Well, the last one just might try, you know?

This free Kahiki foods entree coupon that you can get after watching a fairly short video is an interesting one. I’ve been looking at the link online, and it doesn’t tell you exactly what you’re getting when you get the coupon. Some people have said its a dollar off. Others have said that its for a free entree. And even others? Have asked me what the question was in the first place.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see…

Just like zombies, it seems that this free Poise pads sample is back again. That reminds me that I need to buy more MREs, another case of shotgun shells, and a case of cat food for the kids…

First it was the free Bad Religion Live Album earlier today, and now? Well, apparently Spin magazine is giving away a free Bad Religion Tribute Album in their November issue.

I guess there’s something about Bad Religion today. I had to check my calendar just to make sure it wasn’t a Friday the Thirteenth or a full moon or something…

Working at a department store in our local mall, I’ve come to realize that the girls in cosmetics don’t have it easy. All day they’re handing out free samples, doing free makeovers, and providing free consultations for customers. They’re kind of like what we do here: ushering in the free.

Well, that’s what makes me happy to see this free 7-day Genifique sample from Lancome. Unlike most cosmetic line samples, this is one that you don’t have to get from the counter, so you let those women keep providing others with great free services, and you don’t have to have any malls nearby to get this one either!

I’ve really been dipping into the roots of the newer rock movements recently with listening to some underground bands, but when you talk about punk rock? There’s one band that defined the genre and keeps defining its future. Yup. I’m talking about Bad Religion. And I love it when a band realizes how great they are and gives away stuff for free because they just can. That’s what makes this free Bad Religion live album for signing up on their mailing list even sweeter.

That, and its not even 8am and I’ve already got something loud enough to blast and annoy the neighbors…

The advantage of my work dress code is that its all black. So every morning when I wake up, my big dilemma isn’t what shade of taupe or khaki pants am I going to wear, but just which tie do I feel like “blinging out” my outfit with.

This also becomes a significant advantage when I’m doing laundry, and makes this free Tide with Febreeze sample a lot more useful. I mean, when you’ve got two or three loads of black clothes to do each week? Well, Febreeze becomes your best friend…

Its too early in the morning for me to make sense of this free Maine SURF Dude T-shirt. Why, I spent a good 3-4 minutes just blankly staring at my monitor, attempting to figure out what SURF stood for, just because the guy seemed to be holding a credit card and not a surf board… TGIF?

So if it wasn’t enough that I was listening to lord knows how many albums now, there’s now this free Polyvinyl sampler that I can add to that mix. I mean, I listen to Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin on name alone. When you’ve got a band name like that, its hard NOT to want to listen…
