Freebies and free stuff

I enjoyed the Murphy USA gas station by the Wal*Mart Neighborhood Market that I used to work at. I used to know all of the attendants, and I could alway snag some sort of discount from them on the older stock. That, and I worked in the liquor store, so they wanted to be BFFs with me.

Getting this free Pepsi coupon from Murphy USA just for liking them on Facebook? It reminds me of the old days of freebies at that job… minus getting to talk about alcohol all day and being paid for it.

While awaiting my free Slim-Fast Peanut Butter Crunch Time snack bar, it’s safe to eat tons of holiday baked goods, right? I’m sure they cancel each other out somehow. At the very least these snack bars should give us all washboard abs thanks to their inherent “crunch time” technology!

The other thing about the holiday season is that I’m so much busier than usual that I can’t eat right. And with all of the ice on the sidewalks that I’m usually jogging on and the fact that its only about 15 degrees outside most days? The weight that I’ve worked so hard to lose just comes back to insulate me for the season.

Maybe if I can request enough of these free Slim Fast snack bars, I’d be able to eat a little healthier this holiday season? Or maybe, I’ll just try to stay a little farther away from the holiday cookies in our conference room…

I haven’t been taking my vitamins recently. That’s probably why I’ve been so tired, and missing from here recently too. I mean, sure, Goob expects that about Black Friday each year that I’ll disappear till March, but personally? I think with a few good multivitamins like this free Natural Dynamix sample, well, I could keep up through my busiest time of year at my main job…

Then again, as long as I can get discounted pork rinds at the Amish shop just outside my job’s door? I’ll be alert and in business for ages!

It’s like my Dad used to say, the Provenzano family down the street are nothing more than a nice, close knit family who always wear sunglasses and three-piece suits. Only an idiot would ask if they were in the mob and thus I deserved my black eye. He then disconnected all of our phones and moved us three states over, but I never figured out why.
