Free Ego Tea

There’s a free Ego tea sample available of China Sencha tea. I have no idea how that differs from regular green tea other than it may or may not originate from China. I should have totally followed my dream to become a detective.

    Sencha refers to the Japanese method of processing green tea. In order to stop oxidization (ie, to keep green tea green), heat must be applied. Japanese method is to use steam (sen), Chinese tea usual method is to fry it in a pan. Sooo this would be Chinese tea (which has a different taste and aroma than Japanese tea) that has been processed with the Japanese method. Sounds good, thanks for the link!

    Tried to place an order to try a couple of teas in addition to the freebie, but the site wouldn’t calculate the 30% discount with the given “thankyou” code. The company has no phone number, so I had to email them, which is a pain. I feel bad just requesting a free sample from a specialty place like that and I love tea and would like to try a couple of them if there is a discount.

    @S Gammon: the “thank you” code works. I just used it. It’s pretty cool that every month you can get free tea, if you are fast to act, since I am sure there are limited quantities.

    Gammon, Lisa…(6 and 8 respectively)…I couldn’t get the thankyou code to work. Lisa…did you enter it as one word, thankyou or two thank you?

    I just tested it and it works. Enter “thankyou” as one word and push “recalculate” button. A discount line should show up. Good luck.
