Freebies and free stuff

I don’t really watch the awards shows as much as I used to. I used to love recording them with my VCR when I was growing up and fast-forwarding to the good parts. But between our Roku and liking Redbox on Facebook to get a free rental code for 2/24? Well, why should I even care about watching anything this award season?

With these free 3D glasses from Break.com, my 2011 Halloween costume is almost complete:

Companion? Sarah, check.
3d Glasses? Yup, check.
Converse Sneakers? Chocolate brown, check.
Cool suit and tie? Quite a few, check.

Now all I need? A TARDIS… Has anyone seen any freebies for those recently?

I haven’t texted anyone in about half a year, and I feel like I’m getting withdrawals. Sure, my phone doesn’t support it, but sometimes it’d be nice to send off a nice little text or two, instead of trying to call someone and getting their voicemail. So when I see this free TXTINGKILLS thumb ring, I have to ask: is if really texting that kills, or the fear of getting someone’s voicemail inbox and them never returning your call?

This must be a new product, as I’ve never heard of it. However, judging from the free Worx energy drink signup page, it helps you play tennis. So…there’s that.

I know, I’m full of helpful information like that. I’m like the human version of Watson.

Somewhere there is a forest begging that I stop subscribing to free three year Living the Country Life magazine subscriptions and such. I’d never heard of this, so I went a Googling and came upon this cover.

Just look at those articles. What might the “7 Saddle Tips” be? I’m guessing number one is don’t fall off. “Getting into Grapes” sounds interesting. Who knew there was more to get into beyond grabbing a handful as you passed through the kitchen. Speaking of which, their final line may be the greatest ever published. Pies! Oh, how I concur! PIES!

What restaurant is the only one (that I’ve come across) which lets you choose your birthday treat? If you guessed Sonic, well, no fair. You probably cheated by looking at the title or something.
