Freebies and free stuff

All I know about this coupon for free 7 day supply of Lancome Genifique Youth Activating stuff is that it sounds like it belongs in one of the many video games I play. I still remember the day I learned just because something comes with an eye dropper doesn’t mean it’s automatically magical.

They’ll email you an “invitation” to take to your nearest Lancome counter. Make sure you do it soon, however, as it expires Thursday, March 31.

The current rash of Facebook freebies shows no sign of slowing as there’s now a free Biore skin cleanser offer out. They’re running a March Madness-style contest to see which of their products is most popular. Or something like that. I’ll be honest, when it comes to Facebook freebies, I blindly hit “like” and “next” until I finally get to the signup screen.

Seeing as how you have to double like Biore, here’s the obligatory removing / deleting app instructions that I wrote last year.

Yesterday, after much humming and hawing over the weight I put back on over this winter, I finally rejoined Weight Watchers. That means this morning when I cooked breakfast? I grumpily slugged back to my computer to post on HIF and to type in these points plus.

Thankfully, the only food related freebie I’ve found at all has been this free egg safety information packet. I mean, the last time I was on Weight Watchers? Oh man, you guys got a treasure trove of food and samples from me. So let the torturing commence!

I don’t know who Fred is. Whenever I see that name, I think of my old cat growing up named Freddie. He was a white cat with no fear. And spoiled rotten too, if you asked me.

Thankfully, Freddie never needed diapers, but I’m sure that if I cut a tail hole in these free Freds Diapers, they might work just fine. But Freddie was a cool cat, and cool cats don’t wear diapers, right?

Another morning and another jump in the shower to fix my fro. Yup, I said it. I have an afro. That’s what takes me away from HIF for so long at a time–tending to the beast that rests upon my head.

But when I’m done with that and I actually shave, I know that this free Aveda after-shave balm will do the trick. Heck, the local salon is right down the road from my house!

Now if only my wife wouldn’t catch me dipping into her hair products, then I could get away with using her Aveda shampoos and conditioners to tame the beast…

Did anyone else get the Orbit gum coupon or was I the one schmuck to miss out? I considered strapping the pack of gum to my right foot and hopping around, but there’s only so much eccentric behavior my friends will tolerate before punching me in the face.

There are two free samples being given away tonight on Facebook. I’ll update HIF’s Facebook group as both events approach, but here’s the info in case you want to set an egg timer.

The first is a free sample of Pantene shampoo from P&G myGIVE at 6:00pm EST. They only have 8,000 freebies to dole out, so these will probably be gone within 15 minutes.

A few hours later, at 9pm EST, there will be 100,000 free Tide Stain Release samples given away. Not that I had anything to do with either of these, but one look at my closet validates the decision to give away 1,150% more stain removers than shampoos.

My doctor always tells me I need more fiber. He also says I need to exercise and should eat something called a “vegetable” every now and then, but come on, I’m no miracle worker. I’m guessing this free Fiber Choice should cover me for, what, six months? Twelve at best. You’re right, I’m a glass half full kind of guy, let’s just settle on two years and call it a day.

I feel as if I don’t share enough of myself here. Every story is masked in goofiness or plucked straight from my imagination. So here’s a true story to go along with this free Maximum Strength Zantac 150 sample. I once went outside and saw a squirrel chasing a dog. It was a pretty epic moment in my life.

I spent 10 second formulating a joke for this free Carefree body shape (or coupon, if you decide to go that route) before it dawned on me that today is Sunday and I’m all about slacking on Sunday. Hence me hitting “Publish” …. now!
