Today is shaping up to be one of Those Days. You know, the ones where I can’t find any new freebies, so I hunt through my drafts folder with the hopes of dredging up something like a free TENA sample pack. And look at that, I found it! In hindsight, I should have set my sights a little higher.

Occasionally people ask why they should follow HIF’s Twitter or Facebook page. Well, for starters, it’s how some Hiffers were able to get the large Tide sample from last week’s Freebies Received post.
Basically I sometimes find smaller offers or freebies that are about to expire. Neither are worth the time or effort it would take to write a proper post, either because they’re only available for certain people or will die before I can think of something funny. So instead I throw them up on Twitter and Facebook.
As a bonus, questions asked on Facebook are answered by other Hiffers somewhat lightyears faster than if they were emailed to me. Turns out they’re a pretty helpful and knowledgable bunch.

I appreciate companies that dumb down their name and assume their customers have a learning disorder. How else would we know that free MiraLAX was a laxative if they didn’t capitalize LAX?
Although if we were as stupid as they figured, most of us would think LAX meant the Los Angeles airport. Pro Tip: The only freebies you’ll find at LAX are a pointless dose of radiation and involuntary cavity search. They’re as fun as they sound.
Well, I guess they can’t all be winners. Wendy’s birthday freebie is a mere dollar off a premium combo. No word if they also include a free candle on your sandwich. I hope so, though, because you don’t see wax offered as a topping much these days.

After finding this coupon for a free Bruegger’s bagel & cream cheese sandwich, I somehow ended up watching old MacGruber sketches from SNL. That led to one or ten Celebrity Jeopardy videos and then I figured, what the heck, I should throw on a few Louis C.K. and Mitch Hedberg albums. Long story short I’m a model employee.

It’s time for me to again post these two free Breathe Right nasal strips. These suckers have been around for so long that I think we should induct them into the Freebie Hall of Fame. Don’t get too excited though, it’s not as prestigious as it sounds. It’s basically a space on my bookcase where I needed some color. It sits right between a broken clock and an old t-ball trophy. I was the only kid not to punch a teammate that year!

Who would win in a fight: Captain D or Captain Goob? I don’t know what he’s rockin’ these days, but the USS HIF was recently outfitted with two brand new, state of the art water cannons. They might not scare most sailors, but they strike fear into the heart of my neighbors. Nobody in a three block radius even bothers checking their mail for freebies anymore. They know whose territory it is!
Too bad I don’t have anything as cool as Captain D’s birthday freebies.

Walmart’s new free Dove Men+Care body wash is a great example of how a freebie turned me into a paying customer. Why just this morning I opened a new bottle in the shower before using a Tom’s of Maine toothpaste freebie as shampoo.
What? I was all out and figured if it’s good enough for my teeth, it’s good enough for my luscious locks.
I’ve already used the entire bottle of Tide Stain Release since taking the photo above this morning. I never did learn how to eat properly.
Tons of reading material this week and a full size freebie. Not a bad haul. I hear a lot of people are receiving their Orbit flip-flops from a year ago, but I’m still waiting on mine.
