Freebies and free stuff

I disagree with the message associated with Noodles & Company’s birthday freebie. While I love me some free food, I also enjoy the restaurant staff singing Happy Birthday to me. I spend 90% of my life in awkward, uncomfortable situations so it’s nice to see other people share in my misery from time to time.

Sam’s Club members with a 9 digit membership ID can get free Poise Pads. As part of their ad campaign, they have Whoopi Goldberg dressed in a Statue of Liberty costume because isn’t that the first thing to pop in our minds when we think of incontinence pads?

There are a bunch of upcoming in-store freebie events and tomorrow’s free Rita’s cup of Italian Ice is the first. It runs from noon to 9pm on Sunday, March 20, so there’s no excuse not to go out, enjoy the nice weather, and grab a freebie. Unless you live someplace where the weather is still crappy. Or there’s not a Rita’s nearby. But other than those two, no excuse!

I sent a glowing review to the makers of this free Depend sample pack about how it helped me stay on the paintball battlefield long enough for me to capture the enemy fort, but for some reason they haven’t responded. I think it’d make a great blurb on the back of their packages. I even offered to model them but I guess breaking into the adult underwear scene is harder than I imagined.

These free PowerBar ProteinPlus bites were “developed to help build lean muscle” and contains a “blend of whey, soy, and casein that helps provide sustained amino acid delivery.” Nothing gets my mouth watering like the thought of sustained amino acid delivery.

This free KLM luggage tag has been around in some shape or form since I started HIF. That’s dedication to freebies right there. I wish Delta took lost luggage this seriously. The last time I went to the beach, they lost my bags before sending me a suitcase, which looked nothing like mine, stuffed with women’s clothing. Luckily I can pull off a two piece.

Of course freebies start showing up in the evening on the one day of the year where it’s socially acceptable to start drinking at noon and watch sports all day!

Also, for people who have gotten a First Taste freebie in the past, you might want to check out the “Offer History” tab and take the survey for any freebie you’ve gotten. My gut tells me people who follow up on their freebies are more likely to be offered future ones.
